That's because it is utter gooseberry fool.

I get the whole Grindhouse concept, i get the whole schlocky exploitation vibe, and i actually found Planet Terror to be enjoyable trashy fun.

Death Proof however, was so, so, SO boring, endless scenes of women talking crap, a tiny bit of violence, then even more endless scenes of another group of women talking crap, before a lame car chase right at the end.

Absolute pish.

1. Pulp Fiction
2. The Hateful Eight
3. Inglorious Basterds
4. Kill Bill vol 2
5. Reservoir Dogs
6. Kill Bill vol 1
7. Jackie Brown
8. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
9. Django Unchained
10. Death Proof

I'd probably put Hateful Eight and Basterds above Pulp Fiction if they were both trimmed down by 20 mins.

It does exactly what it sets out to do, but what it sets out to do automatically means its hard to rank among the rest of his films

1.Pulp fiction
2. Jackie Brown
3. Reservoir Dogs
4. Inglorious Basterds
5. True Romance
6. kill Bills
7. Django

Havent seen the others.

Pulp is the clear winner for me. Jackie brown is definitely the most under rated/appreciated.

I think it was his The Hateful Eight script that was leaked. Which he then changed around a bit before deciding that he would make it after all.

Anyway...

1. Reservoir Dogs
2. Pulp Fiction
3. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
4. Django Unchained
5. Jackie Brown
6. The Hateful Eight
7. Inglorious Basterds
8. Kill Bill vol 1
9. Kill Bill vol 2
10. Death Proof

It's a shame that Basterds ended up being so low as the opening scene may be the best thing Tarantino's ever done. But, my god, Brad Pitt is strawberry floating atrocious in it. And, yet, note perfect in OUATIH.

1. Jackie Brown
2. Plup Fiction
3. Kill Bill v1
4. Reservoir Dogs
5. Django
6. Inglorious Basterds
7. The Hateful Eight
8. Kill Bill v2
9. Death Proof

Haven't seen once upon a time in Hollywood. I really hate death Proof and everything after kill Bill volume 1 is a bit meh. I think that a lot of his films could be good but he let's the scene runs too long.

Four rooms is a very mediocre film although his section is decent.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

The opening scene and the bar scene are my two favourite Tarantino scenes in isolation I think. Brad Pitt's delivery of "arrivederci" is also perfect!

I don't think you're supposed to take him that seriously; to me it's more like a comedy role and it's great in that context

Pitt is brilliant in IB.

Agree with Orange about the opening and bar scene being Tarantino's best too.
