They’re excellent for dpad games. I got the pro 2 at Christmas which has more traditional handles and I wish it worked on my Xbox as well as switch and pc

Any recommendations for a retro pocket console pre loaded with lots of games? The RG351M seems to be the best one but can’t find info if it has preloaded games….?

I wouldn’t rely on any preloaded ones mate. Often they are hacked roms or in the wrong language amongst other issues. Anbernic make good handhelds but they are guilty of this.

EEK too late... I read reviews/watched vids from UK dudes who swore by it, I got the plastic P variant which came in at about €80 - basically I decided not to but Dying Light 2 so uses most of money I had for that into this.

When I got my powkiddy all the roms were in English I got a cheaper one after and it was all rpg games in Japanese etc so I just copied most of the stuff from the powkiddy across, it's nice if they come with good stuff on but half the fun is in messing with what's on them

If you speak to devlin on here there’s a treasure trove he has hidden away he can give you access to. The 351p is a good device like.

Photek definitely shouldn't pm his email address to me. I certainly wouldn't then get him access to a google drive with almost 1.5TB of old games. Absolutely not.

Don't even know what you're talking about Ryall. :capnscotty: :shifty:

Also it’s up to you photek but I’d recommend using your own sd card with it (the one it comes with is a cheap no name prone to corrupting). I’d recommend using the 351Elec firmware with it as well.

The 351p is excellent no doubt, but the default firmware is very out of date.

I did that with the Powkiddy swapped the firmware and put it on to a bigger samsung card instead of the chinese one that came in it as I was worried about the card giving up and thought hey why not go for more room at the same time, I have kept the old one in a draw just incase its needed after copying all its roms to pc.

Finished Castlevania 4 and the first Game Boy one today. The first gameboy one wasn't so bad but holy strawberry float is it probably the hardest castlevania I've ever played. It's so unforgiving. All of the jumps feel like they're pixel perfect and the fact you lose your whip upgrades taking damage meant I had to abuse the hell out of save states to even have a chance. The music was stellar though.

Yeah, I have a Japanese copy of that first Game Boy game and I think I made it to maybe the third screen. Thankfully the sequel is a bit more welcoming and a lot more fun!

This is all the little bits I have brought in the last little while

Army Men Advance for the GBA loose cart for £2.50
Scooby Doo! Mystery Mayhem for the GBA loose cart for £2.50
Disney Sports: Soccer for the GBA loose for £3
Lego Bionicle: Matoran Adventures for the4 GBA loose for £2
Finding Nemo for the GBA loose for £1.50
The Jungle Book for the GBA loose for £3
Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo double cart for GBA for £3
World Cup 98 for the N64 loose cart for £1

Also not current but not retro really either I got Monster Hunter Generations complete for the 3DS today for £5 and Little Deviants for the Vita , while finding out my fave exchange/pawn store is shutting down, they've made all the staff I get on with and like redundant bar one guy who is now running it alone until they close on the 31st of next month, there not taking in stuff only selling what's left which may be reduced if its not gone by the last few days apparently, its really sad as I loved this place lots of the guys who worked there were really great to talk to and knowledgeable about stuff and I just feel sorry for them all getting the axe, they got 1 days notice and several of them have family's to support , it plain sucks :(

Dang, kerr, sorry to hear about the place closing down. I hope that the staff quickly find new work and that you discover a replacement store to visit.

There are a lot less places to visit round here than there used to be, I am mostly hoping that they all get new jobs and are happy but yep sucks to loose one of the places some of my better deals have come from as well.

So my RG 351P arrived last Friday and I love it to pieces.

It can’t run PS1/N64 games well at all but man, all the SNES and GBA games are perfect, save states, optional overlays it’s better than I expected.

Who knew Zelda Oracle of Ages would be so much fun. FF6 and many more to come.

All my old PS1 memory cards have died. :(

Guess there's not much you can do to prevent them from eventually packing up?
