I don't think the last gen has really ended enough for that to be the case yet. The average pre-owned PS3 game is cheaper than the average pre-owned PS4 game at the moment.

N64/PS1 era keeps climbing up, but PS2 games are still generally cheap right now. I think the rarer and more sought after games gain value quicker though so the best time for getting those is earlier than the average best time.

I can't even find most of my Gameboy cartidges, nevermind the cases! :slol:

I couldn’t lay my hands on them now but know they’re all in a bag, somewhere  Think the only ones I’ve kept to one side are Metroid Zero Mission, Fusion and Pokémon Emerald, not that I’ve played them in years mind.

I don't know if it still happens much but some of the best deals I picked up on eBay were where spelling errors or poor descriptions were used. I stumbled across a set of nine mint-boxed, complete Japanese Game Boy games (inc Castlevania, Batman and R-Type) for under ten quid; the description was something like "Gmeboy carts bunch" .

I'm not complaining about the prices increasing and I won't sell but it does suck for people who want to retro collect to play games.

My resentment towards losing metal gear solid GBC and someone throwing away metroid fusion and zero mission boxes grows.

I wasn't aware bomberman quest GBC was inflating either, I have the box but have unfortunately lost the cart. I actually liked that game so will try to find a reasonable cart.

thanks :)

prices do seem to have raised when I started getting the famicom games £3 a game for lesser known titles seemed common now a lot of boring sports ones are like £5 so thats why I jumped on that little bundle

The Boxed Mario Party 2 I saw for N64 in CEX today wowsers £80 for a box that looked like it had been pulled out an elephants ass, sure watch my video some of my SNES games are not great my Super Starwars looks rough for example but I didnt pay big money and nor would I expect it to go for proper good boxed money.

Finally got a Wii HDMI Dongle as my oldest was getting nostalgic for his childhood. We’ve been playing a lot of Wii Sports Resort which remains an ace game.

I still think that was the best generation of consoles. I was exclusively a Wii owner for about 6 years and whilst I did use the GameCube catalogue to fill in some of the wilderness years I always enjoyed how the console eventually pivoted back to gamers, even if many forgot.

It was E3 2011 I think when Sony and Microsoft were busy pushing Move and Kinect Nintendo dropped Sin and Punishment 2, Xenoblade, Epic Yarn, Other M, Skyward Sword and GoldenEye.

just went in a charity shop and got a Wii for £25 its a black one and very scratched but has all its leads power, tv, sensor , stand , a great condition copy of Mario Kart , 7 white Wii Remotes, 2 white nunchuks, a black Wii + Remote and a black Nunchuck , I said I wouldn't get any more Wii consoles but couldn't resist it if half the remotes work I will be very very happy, Have to admit I don't care if the actual Wii works as I have spare Wii consoles.

Well the black controller worked perfectly and all of the white ones were perfect apart from 1, the one that's not perfect basically wont stop rumbling, turn the rumble off and it works well in every other way, the nunchucks all worked as well, plus I found a 4th nunchuck in the bottom of the bag its a 3rd party madkatz wireless nunchuck that I haven't gotten around to trying, I also didn't clock that one of the white Wii-motes is a White motion plus included controller so that's pretty cool. The Wii itself also works and had a disc in it unfortunately it was Mary Kings riding School 2 but you cant win them all lol ... CEX sell regular Wii-motes for £20 now and motion plus for £28 so even if you don't include the kinda broken one thats just over £150 of Wii-motes (at some point I might try to go in it to see if somethings causing the excess rumble).

I have had a good run with charity shops recently I got 3 PS4 games from one the other week for £2 each Death Stranding, the Last Guardian and Hitman season 1

I got some more bits today

King Kong 2 for Famicom loose cart for £5 , not bad for a Konami title

Lemmings 2 loose cart for SNES (pal) for £6

Same Game with Bomberman Bonk insert loose cart for £6 this is a bit of a weird curiosity so I'll take a pic at some point

and 2 mote plus controller add on units (the things you plug into wiimotes to make them wiimotes + units) £2 each.

Great price, kerr. You must be the king of Wii Remotes now... when they become hard to source in a few years you may well be a key seller of 'em!

Every time id find a Wii-mote in the house my daughter would claim it was hers apart from my original that had a sticker on it that made it look like a NES controller , I guess I need to sticker all of these up to keep them J/K lol

I figured if I got these id basically be able to play Wii for the rest of my life without having to argue over a wiimote
