So I may have ended up buying over 20 different PS1 games (and two demo discs) past week. Whoops.

[Mission Impossible, Rayman], Croc 1, Bubsy 3D, Lost World: Jurassic Park, GPolice, Barbie Explorer, The Fifth Element, DQ7 JPN, WWF Smack down 2, [Lego Racers, Theme Park World, THPS2, C&C R, Spec Ops, Prince Naseem Boxing, Victory Boxing CE, Tomb Raider Chronicles, TR TLR], Excalibur 2555 AD, Ridge Racer Type 4, Spice Girls, In Cold Blood and Spin Jam on top of two demo discs. I also might be able to win Bugs Life for cheap price as well Kurushi but will wait and see.

[games] are in bundle btw.

There's still tons I want to get but I'm not in rush to get them all (and I might just forget about owning Tombi legally, these prices :dread: )

Few games arrived today, Ridge Racer Type 4 being one of them. What I didn't realise it came with demo for "Ridge Racer Hi-Spec", so I popped that in just to see what it is.

Turns out it's basically 60(50 due to PAL) FPS version of original Ridge Racer with improved graphics, damn that's nice bonus. The box is in good condition too, only missing is manual but I can always track down manual on ebay if I really want to.

Pleased.

Shame you've already bought that as I have the special boxed version that includes the jogcon I'd have sold you.

I'm playing it on emulator anyway - I just like to own games legally (I also have PS3)

Still, how much does jogcon go for usually?

Bring back Lego Racers

The two PS1 games I really want to own are Klonoa: Door to Phantomille and Klonoa: Beach Volleyball. Neither go cheap :(

I have a lot of PS1 games theres a bunch of games I got in a CD wallet for about £2 years ago which I wish I had the boxes for one is Tronne bon (probably spelling that wrong) , hogs of War, street fighter alpha 3, there was another 10 games in there final fantasy origins disc 1 and 2 , two of the banco measuem discs and a few other bits.

The complete stuff I have that I'm happiest about are Xcom, xcom terror from the deep, vandel hearts 1 and 2, disc world 2

When it comes to stuff I want I don't have I'd like the first disc world but everytime I see it it's like £40 for a copy that looks like it's come out of someone's ass.

Make sure you check out today's episode of The Repair Shop on iPlayer if you want to see the worst possible thing you can do with a set of old consoles.

Edit: Saved and Remade, not the repair shop

Had a look and it was "Saved and Remade" on BBC2 instead of the The Repair Shop.

But five minutes in and I fear the worst for that Mega CD. :dread:

EDIT: What has he done to those poor GBA's

Skipped through the episode to see the stuff about the games consoles...

Image

The level of disrespect shown to those systems was borderline criminal.

It wouldn't have been too bad if it at least looked good, but it was just utter gooseberry fool.

Even the guy who brought them in seemed to be covering up his disappointment.

Wait. He doesn't play them anymore? They were just gathering dust?? So they were still in working order?!

I haven't seen the finished product yet, but I just saw the SP snapped in half and I genuinely wanted to cry.

It's utterly tragic.

I'll spoil this for when you've seen the finished product.

For me it was the way he was ripping out the CD Drives and the internals from that poor Mega CD 2. Those things have some genuine value and working ones are getting rarer and rarer.
What happened to the SNES, the Game Gear and the Atari?

Staggering lack of respect and the guy who brought them in had "I've made a huge mistake" written all over his face when he saw it.

It's so much worse than I expected! It's absolutely horrific! It's got Christmas lights in it!!

I can't believe the guy gave him carte blanche to just butcher nearly a dozen pieces of history. He bloody deserves that desk.

Oh god, I just watched it. At first I was apprehensive about what he was saying but everything seemed fine initially on the build. AND THEN HE STARTED DISMANTLING THE CONSOLES AND CHOPPING UP THE CIRCUIT BOARDS. Thought it might at least look ok with the consoles in but then he just painted over them and it looked so gooseberry fool and you couldn't even see the handhelds.
Such a waste. Actually upsetting.

Ahh, I had no idea what it was, it was just on the TV when I heard the mention the consoles and knew it was going to go badly :slol:

Honestly, everything made in the episode looked like a load of gooseberry fool.

There were very strong mid 30s woman starting a Facebook business because her boyfriend told her she's really artistic vibes from the end result.
