I have a confession, I've never played GX before! I've been wanting to get my mitts on it, but it's one of the games that is steadily creeping up in price, so I'm trying to wait until I can get it for a decent deal!

You know what's even better? Running that game in dolphin VR!

Oh snap I can only imagine how that would be! Don't you feel sick with the speed and the quick turns etc?

Something tells me Ad enjoys that kind of punishment.

These days I struggle to believe I even beat the first couple of cups.

And I still haven't got past mission 3 in story mode

The Cup mode is tough but fair.
Story mode has the stupidist difficulty curve I've ever seen. First mission is relatively fine, then it's becomes ridiculously hard almost immediately after it.

I think I was a bit queasy, but I also can't remember how long I played it for. If it has a cockpit view, then I'll have been able to play it for a lot longer.

I think beating story mode will forever be beyond me

It's such a shame as the pretty well produced (although animation is at times hilarious, that old guy ) and camp cutscenes are a great effort to add lore and atmosphere to the universe rather than just magically floating strips of track in space. The amount of fan service and craft put into that game is unparalleled for a franchise as relatively tiny in terms of actual installments as fzero, set against Mario or zelda etc or even metroid.

They put 100% into that game and it wasn't even Nintendo. Its one of the best things Sega ever did. Indeed it was better than a lot of Sega games at the time. Bonkers really, and only a few short years after Sega quit their own console business.

I got stuck on the level with Black Bull. GX was horrendously difficult.

Finished up Castlevania Aria of Sorrow earlier, just amazing
properly timeless, could have been released yesterday and people would gush over it.

This sounds terrific, Orange... I'd love to see a pic or two if that were possible!

I've got the shelves up now, although it's still a work in progress as they're going to be moved so we can paint the wall before they get fixed in place with brackets against the wall. It's not my full collection - notably my N64, GBC, GBA and NES games are still in boxes - but it's the closest I've ever had to everything together and on display!

DS, PSP, GameCube, WiiU, Wii, Dreamcast, PS4, 3DS, Switch, PS5. Technically also PS1 (a solitary MGS1) and Vita (a couple of imports) in there too:

Cheat books, PS3 (red label + platinum), PS2 demo discs, PC, PS2, PS3:

Closer up (but missing a few rows):

There are some dupes in there for various reasons (I've swallowed up my partner's games for one) and I've not played every game there, but I have most!

Lovely.

Would not object to some close-ups of the GC and Switch games... :shifty:

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I never had a GC so I only started buying and playing GC games when I got my Wii. The most recent additions are WarioWare, Viewtful Joe, Resident Evil, Ikaruga and Sunshine - an old workmate gifted them all to me and I've not actually played any of them (although I've played some of Sunshine on Switch).

Top shelf is for imports, bottom for special editions, the rest are sorted by publisher as I think that looks nicer on the shelf. The three Japanese games are Katamari, Okami and Monster Hunter XX - Katamari and Okami have English language options and were only digitlal releases over here. Not pictured: Link's Awakening special edition (EU version), No More Heroes 1+2 (LRG special editions), Monster Hunter Rise special edition.

Loving these cool little shelves, a nice way to keep everything together but with lots of small sections!

They're Gnedby shelves from Ikea. I spent a week carrying them back one by one from Ikea as we don't have a car and Ikea is only a 20 minute walk. It was hard work
