Barry endlessly jumping for no reason wherever he is.

Carol faking being touched on the shoulder as if that will be convincing

Barry being locked in 30 east drive. Ian you banana split

I laughed so hard when it cut to Ian drinking coffee and hanging up on Barry

The cinema was roaring with laughter at that bit, it must have been so nice for them to see.

Carol is something else. She gave me one of my top three laughs of the film with just one line

Moggy you dick! Was really concerned until other people revealed your nefarious games!

This is the first film I have purchased in about 15 years. Enjoyed their Podcasts so much I thought it was only right not to Pirate something like this.

Gonna watch in an hour, can't wait! :toot:

Anyway decided to buy it and stream it. So Ian's getting enough cash out of me. £30 for tickets to the show, £7.99 to buy it and my monthly patreon sub.

Only complaint so far is the lack of the actual theme tune aside from a slight hint during the intro!

It's at the end.

It better be Moggy! You've changed my mind on so much recently, if you let me down with this theme tune then it's over!

The theme tune is a remix with Barry rapping over the top.

I'm nearly there, the missus has gone for a loo break with about 4 mins to go. I will say, there is precident for this as one of the episodes ended with a fan remix rap, so I'm being a Barry and taking this as legit!

You did pay for the directors cut? I don't think the rap is in the povvo version.

All done now, and I'm taking the Barry route and saying that the rap was fantastic!

What a great treat for the fans of the podcast though. Literally could not ask for more given their shoestring budget. Totally loved it. Obviously it can't capture the magic of the podcast completely, but I'd get people to watch this first and then listen to the show.

This video was a real highlight of Ian’s Patreon, and a nice companion to the film.

Was at the Birmingham Halloween screening earlier, and that was fantastic. Absolutely worth the wait, and the deleted scenes with accompanying anecdotes were possibly even funnier, kind of like watching them record an episode of the podcast.

Barry misunderstanding the audience's audible confusion when he said "psychic for the deaf or blind", assuming it's because deaf or blind must be politically incorrect, and correcting blind to visually redundant, actually had me crying. He then tried to phone the psychic for confirmation on it, then revealed he'd been warned by EE in the past for prank calling Chico to ask him what time it was, so called him again and got hung up on.

Glad you got to see it, with all the extra scenes. Wish I’d been there myself. Visually redundant, strawberry floating hell haha.

I don't know if anybody else listens to the "Have A Word" podcast, but Barry Dodds co-hosts today's episode.

It's worth listening to the first half hour just to hear his New York stories.

Not heard of that one, so listening now. Strangely there's no mention of Barry in the description so you'd never find it searching for him.

strawberry floating hell, 4 solid minutes of adverts and partreon begging before it even starts :dread:

Barry's new project goes live today: The Worriers - a new podcast with fellow comedian Hayley Ellis.

I'm not here to sell it to you, but you might like it! Even if you're not all that interested, a quick subscribe and download today would help him out with visibility and chart position. Maybe see it as a thank you for the many marvellous moments he's given us in the past.

Barry’s been back in East Drive, to interview the black monk of Pontefract. Exclusive to new (free) streaming channel Hauntd, launching on Halloween.

(The channel is a Bil Bungay endeavour.)

Rinksy gets another shout out in this week's Reboot! Didn't really know anything about Big And Daft but their podcast's still really good. Poor Jon

If anyone's subbed to Ian's Patreon, the Loopholes podcast is kinda similar to the Parapod, but Kate does a lot more research than Barry :slol: It's still weird to hear them chatting about stuff that Barry's brought to the Parapod before, though!

The new Barrypod (the Worriers, that Rink mentions a few posts up) is free and also great if you need some more BD in your life. I love how Hayley does the exact same "cut that- cut that!" that Barry used to do on the Parapod when he said something stupid (Gladys Pip and the Knights... )

I keep meaning to email in to a few of them but I never actually remember before the new episode is out. Really want Barry to guest on an episode of Loopholes at some point.

Haha, yeah I was pretty surprised by the shoutout, because on Reboot they rarely mention listeners by name (as opposed to Loopholes, where they do the whole feedback section). Delighted to be a bit player in that row! It was such a funny moment when Jon was talked over steamrollered by Rob.

Can anyone access the Paropod anymore? I can't seem to access any episode bar the last 3 released. Tried multiple Podcast players and only get the last few episodes :(

After seven years, Ian has chosen to stop paying for the Soundcloud hosting. Just a financial decision - he's not deliberately preventing access. They're being made available in batches on his Patreon, so once I've downloaded them I can pass them on to you. Not many uploaded yet, though.

Thanks Rinks, appreciate the update.

That's a real shame they are not freely available, They deserve to be! But admitedly I know nothing about how much hosting something like that costs.
