Banjo: Week 3

Easy

The Guru
Tried my hand at the meditation game, simple exercises of picturing myself constantly walking into the horizon, each time in a different direction from my house, each time for an hour. Was nice. Does that count?

Albert Finney stars in The Duellists alongside Harvey Keitel who acts in The Two Jakes.

Interview With The Bastard

"Come in Mister Fancyneck, take a seat. Now, I hear you're looking for a job in our accounting department?"

"Actually no, I came here to tell you that I burned your house down a couple hours ago. Tata."

You know what, I strawberry floating love insulting people, get a great kick out of it. I'm especially fond of turning up to job interviews, uttering one line then leaving. You may have gathered that. Anyway, best get the intro out of the way.

Hi, name's Booby Fancyneck. Yes, I do hate my parents. banana splits. But I don't dwell on it, especially not since I killed them a couple years back. Kidding, I'm kidding. I just cut an arm off each of them. That's not a joke, I really did that. Well, I didn't do that, but I hired some guys to, so I may as well have been holding the hacksaw myself.

I'm kinda drifting off topic here, so I'll get back to the point. I didn't really have a point to begin with, as I was still in the intro, but what can you do about that? Anyway, I'm a bastard and proud, I love strawberry floating with people, there's a great kick to be had looking at their stupid gormless faces as I walk away and they do nothing, stupored by my brilliance. I eman, I'm trying my best not to look back on this guy now, but it's funnier if I restrain myself. Then again, I won't be able to enjoy the sight of his stupid prancing gawping mug, so I may as well take a quick peek.

Oh gooseberry fool, he's called security. That never happens. I'd love to stay and chat, but I've got some serious running to do. Bye. We'll get properly acquainted next time.

Fin

Oh P.S. It'd be a good idea to get in shape for moments like these, being a chunky strawberry floater ain't helping me. You may find that useful. Ta.

Not a fan of Art Galleries so I stuck to the Natural World parts. Looking at various rock formations and early years of the Earth was nice...

But everyone really wants to see the Dinosaurs, don't they?

 . One thing I took greatest pleasure was how well the Welsh was incorporated into exhibits, by which I mean the language. Very well done without dragging attention to it.

Rather nice, that was.

Seven Deadly Scenes

Pride
Image
Used to be a fatboy so to be really lean and at that weight is strawberry floating prideful. 8-)

Phwoar, sexy bastards. But really, this is more lust towards my course, I feel incredible passion towards it.

Sloth
Image
Realy need to do some washing up.

:D

I'm a bit gutted I couldn't really go OTT with the Seven Deadly Scenes Task, but the amount of time I've had spare to do such a thing this week was pitiful. I'll get back into the groove for next week.

Funfilled Outing:

Forest of Dean:

Left on friday at approximately 4:30 pm in a crowded minibus full of rowdy students that could not pass 40mph and struggled to climb up a hill.
After 2 hours arrived at some residential place in the Forest of Dean.
After unpacking the group played a game of softball, I ran 2 players out 8-) and we won.
We then left the site to purchase Fish and Chips.
Returned and consumed the meal, it was awful.
Departed for a night walk/orienteering activity around an area of the forest; saw lots of trees.
Returned and turned in for the night.

Woke up on Saturday, after Breakfast, shower etc went to nearby high ropes course.
Did climbing wall high ropes etc and then returned for lunch.
Post-Lunch departed on an orienteering-based that covered around 5 square miles of the area, saw notable features (such as trees), lost track of where we were; then found way back by dumb luck.
BBQ for tea.
Night game with no torches (some variant on capture the flag), spent time either crouching, laying on the ground, diving in bushes or bumping into each other.)
Returned at 00:30 and went to bed.
Woke up and departed next day (Today)

Summary:

Easy

The Guru
Began this on Tuesday, as it was necessary. Had my first film noir seminar at 9am and I was going to be late...the lecturer had been described as been bloody evil as well. My dad kindly gave me a lift through but with traffic it was looking bad, so I closed my eyes and meditated, cars we overtook must have thought I was high or something. Got there on time in the end though. 8-) For the rest of the week I've taken time out to do the same, and it's helped immensely, with me back at uni and having to re-adapt to a faster pace again.

New Look:

Image quality is a bit crap in this light but here's what I bought today, the jeans...(or the ring you can just see in the middle there) can be the challenger:

Image

Hard

Funfilled Outing:

I went to touch the Angel of the North. 8-)

Image
Image
Image

Despite passing it everytime I get a lift to and from Newcastle, this is the first time I've bothered to go up to it...and I was actually quite impressed, standing up close.

Seven deadly scenes:

Envy
Image
My mam's very expensive perfume. I was allowed to (sometimes) use the last bottle she had, as I had actually bought it for her. This time though, she bought this one and hid it from me, hint taken.

Pride
Image
My poetry bookcase, of collections I've bought over the years, some real diamonds in there. 8-) Quite a few of those I've found at a second hand bookstore in Harrogate, I think the name is 'books for all'.

Greed
ImageImage
The first photo is of the All Saints jewellery I bought...all at once. I even went back an hour later and bought the skull earrings, in the second photo close-up.

Gluttony
Image
We really like cheese...there's seven packs of different types there.

Lust
Image
This is a book I bought for my Writing women module, but I've kind of fallen in love with the picture on the front.

Wrath
Image
The lovebirds. The darker green is the male, the lighter fatter one the female. They usually get along very well, too well infact, as they're constantly at it, her with her wings spread as he bobs up and down. However, the two of them had a pretty nasty arguement one day, perhaps she said no for once, and he didn't listen, now he has a hole that looks like a third eye socket.

Or...there's also this:
Image

Sloth
Image
My desk. Better than it normally is but I've taken to hiding papers and stuff behind my laptop, as you can see.

I'm just praying we're not going to see a recreation of the Lust murder. Maybe that's what the meet-up with Red was really all about...
