Enthusiasm has gone notably down for this as the weeks have gone on, bar the few hardcore Taskers. I should probably have only run it for 6 weeks maximum. As it stands there are two weeks left but I may make the next week's tasks the last week.

I'm split over this. Obviously the longer it goes on the more chance there is of Banjo dropping points, but I'm also kind of wanting the few hours each week I invest in this task back to play games and stuff

For me it just came with bad timing as uni started back up so I lost a couple of weeks getting teaching and stuff sorted. That and the la parkour task coming at the same time that I'd done my knee and foot in which put me well out of the running that week.

The fact is, the ratings are dropping on a weekly basis. In the first few weeks these threads were reaching 15-20 pages. Now look at us here, struggling along, the select few survivors. Sometimes you have to take ol' Yeller out back and do the deed before he suffers any longer.

This of course is not to say I haven't enjoyed running it and that it hasn't been worthwhile. It has. Perhaps I will do it again in the future. But in the short attention span society we live in today, one must adapt to what's hot and what's not. And the writing is on the wall. Better to go out with people wanting more than to go out with a whimper.

Mocky, for what it's worth, I really enjoyed this. I tried to get a steady couple of tasks done a week every week, and I think I mostly managed it. Target get.

This is the best forum game ever and I'm not just saying that because it was partly my idea.

Shame on people for not taking part.

Let it run for the full 8 weeks as planned and then maybe bring it back during the summer or something. When all the students are finished with Uni an' that.

Sometimes I get kicked into action by seeing how close you are behind me.

As it stands, I'm in it to win it. 8-)

This is the only forum game I've actually bothered to participate in, It'd be a shame for it to end before all 8 weeks have passed but if Mocky wants to end it then I can understand.

It'd be nice to see it return in the future though.

We could have Christmas Task Of The Week, then Easter Task Of The Week, and so on for other holiday seasons.

Actually, I don't think that's a bad idea.

This is terrible news, makes me wish I started earlier, and I just came in to see exactly how many pages my flip book animation has been. :(

To be honest this has been really great, I love trying out new things but I never come up with ideas for things to do myself, and it's nice to see what others have done when they're trying these as well.

Also I have a question, I have no way of making a video of my flip book, could I just take a series of pictures and put it together in a .gif for the bonus points?

Sure, that would be more than acceptable!

Easy (1 point each)

Smiler

Ive smiled at various people this week, mainly people on checkouts in tesco. They seem to do the smile back company line. The best responce was from the man on the checkout at my work canteen. He asked what i had and i smiled and said lasagne, he then erupted into a melodic chorus of "Lasagne, Lasagne !!" so good they named it twice.

The Petronas Towers - named after Harry Potters favourite spell

The Space Needle in Seattle - famous because Fraiser, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan built it.

Medium (3 points each)

Charitable

Donated £5 to Leukemia Charity. (The reason why i went to a funeral last week)

The Artful Dodger

EDIT- Actually today i evaded a parking charge in Morissons carpark saving me £1.20 and doing NPC out of £1.20 :D .

Hard (5 points each)

Flip-Out

My creation depicts a reason why i can look forward to another trophyless season as my depression spirals down into the desparate abyss that is my heart.

Please excuse the speed, it was tricky for me to do, see the bottom spoiler in the next task.

I see a vagina. Yes, unfortunately its all about pussy

Can i have the extra point for this even though its on paper please because i managed to cut my finger when i cut the ink cartridge apart :cry: ;

A 100% week with full bonus points perhaps? And i thought my entusiasm was dying.

Did this on Tuesday, smiled at my mom when I saw got out of bed, at the bus driver, and three friends from school. Generally good reactions from all.

World in his Grasp

Looked at the CN Tower (Canada), Niagara falls (The US part), The Eiffel Tower, The Sydney Opera House, and the Pyramids of Giza.

Medium (3 points each)

Charitable

Donated some change when I went to McDonalds on Thursday, yes I know twice in one week is a bit much but I was starving.

The Artful Dodger
Went out to get some bread for my mom, and kept some of the change instead of giving it all back, I think it was about 25 cents.

Will get to work on the others later.

The first thing I saw was a fanny

Then I noticed it also looks like a Pelican, the drop ship from the Halo games, probably because I was playing Halo 3 earlier today. I was fortunate enough that I had some spare ink from my calligraphy set from when I was in 8th grade, I then used the rest of the ink to draw my flip book.

100% task get with bonus points?

WEEK 6 TASKS ROUNDUP:

Easy (1 point each)

Smiler
. I feel like a bit of a creep just smiling at random people. Started this morning when I smiled at my brother before he went off to work "What's wrong with you?" was his response. Then I smiled at the postman, he nodded at me. I smiled at the bus driver, he didn't seem to care. I smiled at some strangers, they looked confused but gave a little "morning" or "alright" in acknowledgement. And I smiled at the girl working in the Spar, she smiled back. Smile get. I also smiled at my cat. I think he understood because he started running towards me to play and roll around by my feet.

World in his Grasp
Looked at: Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, Stonehenge, Statue of Liberty and Anfield.

Medium (3 points each)

Charitable
Put 56p (my change) into one of them charity collection pot things that sit on counters in shops. Not very much but I am poor at the moment so couldn't go throwing money away. It was for SSPCA. Which is like the RSPCA but for Scottish animals instead. I think.

The Artful Dodger
Me, my brother, my cousin and two friends were having an afternoon game of Poker. During the course of the game I cheated by collecting decent cards. Then using these cards I won a couple of hands. I didn't cheat too much and in the end I only came second. But I doubt I would have stayed in that long if it wasn't for my cheating. Either way I ended up with £4. That's a £2 profit. 8-)

Also I'm currently receiving free internet due to leeching next door's wireless.

Hard (5 points each)

Found myself some black ink. Applied that to some card and here are my results:

After some studying of the image (read: Staring at it for a few seconds) I saw a charging elephant. And then when I looked at it again I saw two elephants facing each other. As if they were having tea or something.

Think that's 100%.

I'd just like to say that I enjoyed the few weeks that I was tasking it up. However, I became incredibly busy when the uni term started so I couldn't participate to the level that I would have wanted to.

Although I should say that, because I was trying to grab every last point to stay in contention at the top of the table, it did seem like my life was being controlled by them. I thought it would be best to drop out after the desktop fiasco and cut my losses.

A one off Task of the Holidays (or whatever) thread would have my full support.
