That's fair enough, the Vatican City is a huge place, easy to miss 1 of its main attractions

Not that I've ever been but how did you miss them, did you not realise they were there?

Thanks :fp: I really didn't know they were there. Infact I didn't even know what Vatican City was until last week :fp:
Was speaking to my cousin about it and she did the opposite of me when she went. She did everything at Vatican City except for St Peter's Basilica as she never heard of the Basilica  neither have I but it's so big it's much harder to miss.

Did you at least go see the 1st-15th chapel? Doesn't matter if you miss the last one if you've seen the others, really.

Awesome the eurostar is great. I also went to Paris as my first place abroad since covid. Was a great feeling being abroad again. What are you going to see in Paris? I went in the opera house which was pretty amazing.

Huh? I didn't see any chapels... :/
Only the basilica. But I even paid to go up the top of the dome.

No I think he's just looking for issues 1-1983 before he reads 1984.

Lucky bastard.

Be sure to visit the Arc de Triomphe, it's fantastic (probably quiter than it was pre pandemic too, a lot of the attractions in London are).

Go for the stairs too, the queues are less, and it's a fun climb, as i shall demonstrate.

We have been before (it's where me and my wife got engaged in 2009) and Friday is our 10th wedding anniversary so I thought it would be a nice way to celebrate.

We have an evening dinner cruise booked.on Friday along the Seine.
Booked tickets for the Catacombs and Observatoire Panoramique De la tour Montparnasse which apparently has better views then The Eiffel Tower (we did this last time so may give that a miss but will go at least for the obligatory photo)

Also will go to Sacre Couer and visit the Basilica and the lookout hill. That area seems nice so will have a little explore around there.

I have loads of bits marked in Google Maps to visit to like the Pantheon and various other sites and areas. Might take a little trip to visit Parc Dr Princes and Roland Garos just to take a look as well.

I've heard good things about Montparnasse, but didn't have time to do it when i visited.

Depending on your route, be careful when climbing the hill to Sacre Coeur (you probably already know this, but just in case you didn't), as when i went there were a lot of scammers around doing those bracelet things, and also the groups of women who want you to sign petitions so that they can rob you while you are doing so. It's fine (and a lovely area) once you reach the top, but getting up there is a bit of an obstacle course.

Two girls tried the old sign a survey thing when we were in Berlin. This was out in the open, and I saw it coming a mile off and warned the Mrs. Decided to mess with them as our wallets were hidden away and out of pick pocket range. Bill Carr of 10 king road, Ipswich wrote his name with his off hand, then forgot his credit card details and then told them to strawberry float off.

You don't want to get on the wrong side of criminal gangs. You might find yourself the target of a conetract killing.

I don't know lol just never heard of it. Probably didn't pay attention when in school at RE lessons.
When people asked me if I was going to the Vatican City I was like what is that the building where the Pope lives? So last week i found out it's a country within Rome...
I'll go back again sometime as they had really good duty free at FCO airport and because of Brexit I saved a lot on nice Louis Vuitton wallet.

O cool sounds like there's loads to do there. I'll have to go back another time. Been there three times so far.

Liverpool's a great city

Yeah I agree. Its my home city. Although I haven't done things like visit the Cathedral and other touristy things.
The night life is amazing though! Make sure you get to Seal Street for a few drinks at night. I recommend Alma De Cuba.
