What date do you land? If you didn't want to hire a car and If I'm not working that day and I'm still in Ireland I could give you a lift into the city.

They do do GoT bus tours by the way. Not sure if they're any good, mind you.

RE. Giant's causeway. You don't need to pay, if you go into the visitor centre you can 'pay' to walk down. Me and my friends however just walked over the top of it (you'll see it's built into a hill) and then along the cliffs. Some great views up there, then you can walk down to the causeway.
Obviously I don't know if we were being criminals or not...but no-one seemed to mind.

We have found a few tours going to go on it Wednesday all being well and the one we have looked at included the Giants Causeway which is a bonus

Can anyone recommend an app on android where I can manually add a holiday itinerary?

Just booked a Caribbean cruise for next April and have a few flights to catch along with then picking excursions at various islands so it would be nice to be able to plan it ahead of time.

Anyone here done the Morocco Sahara tour? We've booked our flights for November, and just trying to think of how to fill the days. 10 days in total starting in Fes and leaving from Marrakesh.

Not sure I want to do anything on a Camel, but if it's the only option I guess I'll have to.

More importantly the airport. I've got a long turnover there and I'm a teeny bit concerned that I may need an Indian Visa. I don't plan on leaving the airport, but I'm still concerned as to what procedures I need to go through. I've not really travelled much outside of the EU and I've never ever done an airport transfer before, so I don't know what the rule of thumb is

I haven't been to Delhi. I haven't even been to India.

But if you're transit you're almost certainly not going to need a visa. You aren't going to even go through immigration, surely.

If you're going to leave the airport between your flights, then yeah, you'll need a transit visa or whatever allows you to clear immigration and customs.

If you're merely moving from the plane to your departure gate, my travel experience dictates that you won't need anything but your passport and boarding pass. You'll need to go security probably though, so be careful with liquids in your hand luggage.

You might want to get in touch with the Indian embassy, they'd definitely know whether or not a visa was needed (and be able to issue one should it be required).

So I'm thinking of adding a few days in Seoul to my big Asia trip. I'm a bit torn; on the one hand Korea has never really been on my radar, on the other there are a few things I'd like to see there and this is likely to be my last holiday for a few years. I'm also a bit worried that since Hong Kong, Taipei and Tokyo are all on my itinerary that Seoul maybe a bit too similar. Any thoughts for or against?

Hi. I've had an issue when trying to check in with air india. Has anyone used these before? Or seen something similar. Tickets booked through a third party company. I'll attach the picture now.

But basically it wont let me check in online . I feel if I turn up in Heathrow tomorrow itll all be fine, but the message does concern me.

Any advice?

Edit: I dont know how to upload screenshots from my phone.....basically it says.

'Currently there are no free seats kindly use a saleable preferred seat with the assistance of our contact centre or airport customer service'

The last bit of the message makes me feel like I Should be ok tomorrow ? I tried phoning and the call line is useless

I quite fancy going whale watching, Iceland seems like the best bet, to combine closeness and whale watching experience. Anyone got anything better, or can recommend any tour companies?

Anyone been to Malta? More specifically, is it possible to cycle between the landmarks and town areas? It’s such a tiny island that I hope a couple days with a bike will suffice to cover the main bits.

I went last year. Not sure if I would want to cycle anywhere but the public buses were cheap and reliable. It gets very hot unless you're going in the winter.

Valetta is very nice.

I’m looking to go next month as it’s cheaper to get two cheap flights back from Budapest than it is to simply go direct. It seems like the best of the stop overs available. I can’t say it’s a place I’ve ever been in a hurry to do a full holiday in, but for an extra nights stay in a hostel it’s worth enough to pull in for a couple of nights.

Couple of nights would be fine. Theres not a fat lot to do really but I would recommend visiting Mdina and Valetta. There's no beaches or anything - not like you would be sunbathing in January anyway.

If you stay in the Old City part of Valletta, everything there is within walking distance, and everything outside there is readily accessible via the large bus station right outside the big old city walls, by a gigantic roundabout/water fountain.

The historic twin towns of Mdina and Rabat (located right next to each other) are gorgeous and well worth seeing, as is the megalithic Ħaġar Qim temple complex, the Tarxien temples, and the picturesque port of Marsaxlokk. Not sure all of that would be doable in a day, but you could easily knock a couple off.

If you're there on a longer stay, you could book a day trip up to Sicily to see Mt. Etna and visit some neat places along the way.

If you end up in Malta next month give me a shout - I'm staying in the Sliema area for all of January. Could maybe put you up as well but I think my place is just a small studio apartment.

I went whale watching in the Falklands. Be prepared for not seeing a lot. Or make sure you plan for when they're most active, we just bobbed about on a boat for a few hours to see a few blow holes spurts. It was pretty fun though and the dolphins came to swim alongside the boat.

A friend recently posted pictures from one if the canary islands of whale watching and she seemed to be pretty close. They were good pics.

Lot of luck with whale watching, you should plan for disappointment and make sure you do other things so the holiday isn't a write-off if you don't see any
