I'm thinking of going on a solo trip to Disney World in Orlando for the first time and staying inside the park. Any tips would be appreciated for anyone who has been.
I think 4 days should be enough but Disney are throwing in extra days for free so I may end up going for 7 nights and venture out of Disney to see Universal and the Space Centre whilst I'm there.

Going to New Orleans on Saturday for a week, first non-European holiday since before Covid, so can’t wait.

Has anyone been? Any recommendations if so would be appreciated!

Assuming you already know about the French Quarter and Bourbon Street?

The National World War II museum is very impressive and will take up a whole day easy.

Tbh I think you might want to explore outside after a few days - it's not a big city by any means. Definitely a cool place though. The jazz bars are great to chill out in and the food is phenomenal. Make sure you try a prawn po boy. And Cafe du Mond for the beignets and coffee.

Thanks for those ideas. Yes, I’d also thought a day outside of NOR would be a good idea. Planning to have a look at options whilst we’re there (and the weather!) before deciding what to do.

Definitely planning some jazz, fried chicken, po boys & Cafe du Mond. Plus the obligatory paddle steamer one afternoon.

I had booked a cool 'floating house' in Croatia for a fortnight in July, but Easyjet have cancelled our flights (along with the entire route). The accommodation was non-refundable, but thankfully they made an exception and refunded us.

Instead we're booked in a Trulli in Puglia, Italy. (Not the actual one in this photo, but very similar, with private pool).

Got a few things over the coming months. Budapest for a stag next month and then a holiday with the family in Turkey-all inclusive resort type with grandparents coming too. Then a wedding I'm groomsman for in Malaga at the start of the June.

Then my wife and I are weighing up dumping our son with his grandparents and going to Hawaii at end of June/start of July for 2 weeks to finally have our honeymoon which didn't happen because of covid. Not sure if that will work out but we will see...

I did a solo drip to Orlando for a month in 2019, I didn’t stay in the park (I stayed in a villa in Davenport, I like having my own space and own pool) I got the “ Orlando Freedom Ticket Ultimate” I am going again next year and it didn’t bother me at all being on my own,

I would say my favourite park is Epcot

Ah nice! Thanks that's good to hear! Yeah should be fine as a solo trip then. I also think Epcot will be my favourite of the four parks as its more geared towards adults.

I'm going to Japan on Thursday for 16 nights (Seven in Tokyo, six in Osaka, and the another two in Tokyo before flying home). :toot:

Also, due to Russia being monumental banana splits, the return flight now goes out to the east, going up across Alaska, over Canada, over Greenland and then down over Iceland an back into the UK, which means once the trip is over I will have completed a lap around the World. :o

Got a trip to Mexico this year and one to Greece next year. Arranged to have our boosters for Mexico as its been 10 years since our last ones (I remember when we had them done at the time thinking that was forever away, where the hell has that time gone :dread: )

We booked the appointment about a month ago, and it was for today. An hour ago I got a cancellation text through, with no explanation, just an uNForSeEEN CiRCumsTanCeS line. Phone up to try and rearrange and the woman on the phone then proceeded to lecture me on how I should have these jabs done well in advance and I'm leaving it until its almost too late. You cancelled on ME :fp:

Went private in the end. What a pile of gooseberry fool.

Fyi for the future, EasyJet legally had to get you there, even if it was on another airline. However once you accept the refund the obligation goes.

Both look very nice though!
