Both look very nice though!

Wow. That's good to know, thanks. I wonder what route they would have offered. I looked into it, and the best option I could find was flying via London and required an overnight stay.

Planning a trip to Honolulu now as there seems to be a lot to see there. With a few days stop over in either LA or Las Vegas to break up the long journey.

Just had 8 days in Naples. That was nice.
Went up Vesuvius. That was nice.
Walked around Herculaneum. That was nice.
Took a bus trip out to Amalfi. That was nice.
Took the ferry to Capri and then went on a chairlift up to the top. That was nice.
Went on a subterranean tour of Naples. That was nice.
Explored the Spanish Quarter and visited the Murales Maradona whilst Napoli were spanking Torino. That was nice.
Took in the views from San Elmo. That was nice.
Walked about Pompeii for 6 hours. That was nice.
Ate about 20 pizzas and drank a few litres of negronis and a few gallons of spritz. That was nice.

All in all Naples was nice.

I did all three a few years back, started in Vegas, then onto Honolulu, and closed out with a couple of days in LA.

Honolulu, and Oahu as a whole, is absolutely stunning, and I genuinely miss it basically every day of my life.

One of the places I hope to get to while here (in the US). Amazing I won't even need to take my passport with me!

O wow that's really good to hear. I would imagine the island looks stunning. Really hyped about going now. Thanks :)
It's surprisingly not too bad like a flight from LA on Hawaiian Airlines is just £190 return in May.

I've finally got around to making a video up from our Mexico trip which was in late 2021 :fp: In my defence there was nearly 5.5 hours of footage and it all seemed a bit daunting. Got there in the end though. Its the first time I've made a proper video for that youtube so my youtube face thumbnail might not be as click-baity as it could be.

Got some new music on it too if anyone fancies a watch.

I'll probably do one of some america stuff next, which will include some galaxies edge (although I might make one for that on its own).

Thanks. It's more for my Mrs to use as she's got a side gig being a travel agent, so she can use these things.

I just got back from a 6 week trip in Mexico (plus 3 weeks in Ecuador) and had great time. We went to Mexico City, Guanajuato, Puebla/Cholula, Oaxaca, Puerto Escondido, San Cristobal, Palenque, and in and around Merida before flying out of Cancun (where we only stayed overnight for our flight). It was amazing seeing the landscapes change as we travelled across the country, seeing sparse deserts, volcanoes, forests, jungles, and beautiful beaches. We saw a lot but some of the highlights were Cascadas de Roberto Barrios (a less busy version of Agua Azul), Palenque and Teotihuacán archeological parks, and the beaches at Puerto Escondido.

We travelled everywhere by bus, which for the most part worked perfectly fine except for when a protest blocked our route for 9 hours, meaning we were stuck on a bus for 24 hours... :x Other than the only bad things to happen were the obvious and expected stomach issues, as well as me losing my sense of taste/smell after about 3 days due to the lack of humidity and pollution in Mexico City.

That sounds incredible! We'd love to do a proper tour like that. Was it an organised one?

In Mexico we felt completely safe. There were no instances where we felt uncomfortable or even a bit concerned. We stayed in Centro in CDMX and people often say its dodgy or whatever, but it was fine. Though some people find homeless people scary, and there were quite a lot in that neighbourhood.

Ecuador was a little different. We were in Quito first and witnessed two guys having a knife fight in broad daylight, then on a night bus some strange guy got on ranting and raving and the driver, his gf, and the ticket collector instantly looked concerned and didn't drive on. We were the only other people on it and we didn't know what the guy was saying, but he eventually got off and the bus sped off  At night in Quito it's completely abandoned which is pretty eery, especially with the fog. I think most people don't want to go out at night as crime is high. We basically got ubers everywhere there just to be safe. The atmosphere seemed a bit tense as well. You could sense there was a lot of anger.

They probably turned on the TV and found the only channel available was ITVbe.

No, we just used public transport to get from A to B. It's more expensive than we had expected (though we knew this before we went), but we did a few overnights which saved on accommodation.
