Lovely thick layer of snow here. Part of me Hope's there will be more as it looks gorgeous out there, the other half doesn't as I'll want to get the shopping tomorrow

One trick I've learned in recent years... Rubber gloves (like medical gloves) under your wooly/thermal gloves, and you'll not worry about the cold from the snow.

You feel cold of sorts, but without your skin getting wet it's more of a tolerable feeling and you can carry on making snowmen and having snowball fights (Sorry Qikz & Zil) for hours.

Snow in Milton Keynes. It coincided perfectly with our central heating packing up. :x

Been snowing heavily in Notts since about 1pm and we've now had more snow than we've had for quite a few years. Totally wrecked the street by building a snowman with the kids.

We had a huge, single rumble of thundersnow at about 06:37 which lasted for half a minute, and apparently it snowed a little in the morning, but by the time I actually woke up and started the day all the evidence was gone. :( Blue skies most of the afternoon. Gutted.

Given the weather, could it be something as simple as a frozen condensate pipe?

No, the boiler lost all pressure on Thursday night. I tried to top it up and water was leaking all over. Called out a gas engineer on Friday and he sort of went "oft". Valve pumps have gone, the filling loop needs replaced. He's had to order several parts and it will take a few hours to fix it. Looking at a couple of hundred for parts alone.

Sounds expensive.

Getting a few inches tonight, gonna get solid coverage. It's the wet kind that makes surfaces slippery so I'll have to be careful driving.

You have (in normal times) a cinema, you lucky bastard.

All Warminster ever gets is charity shops, and even they're closed now!

Serious bait. :shifty:

After the snow tomorrow comes rain, honestly don't know if it'll be safe to drive. It'll be above freezing, but just barely, so I don't know if the rain will just freeze on impact.

It’s lush, too. Pre-COVID I rinsed Limitless for three years. I saw over 100 movies in two of those years (only dipping under 100 in the year when we had a newborn!

Chucking it down here. Was really odd, was raining, then I went in to VR for a few hours, take the headset off and there's snow everywhere.

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

Snow Update for WEST BERKSHIRE!

Annoyingly tiny flurries - similar to Flying Ant Day.
