in years to come i think lloris will be in there but for now its Schmeichel

For me it is a straight 3 way fight between Schmiechel, Seaman and Cech. Any of those three would be a worthy winner, but I will throw myself in with Schmiechel (I really wanted to throw myself into Seaman though).

Schmiechel was class and at his best would have walked into any other team in the world. strawberry float, he would probably walk into most lower league clubs now. :lol:

I don't think Man Utd fans are going to have it their own way the whole way through - because there is lots of competition in other areas - but at his best - Schmeichel was invincible and far and away the best goalkeeper in the world. He even won the Euros with Denmark! DENMARK.

No contest.

Gotta be Schmeichel, there is very little doubt in my mind about that really... Iconic figure and produced some top stuff...

There are other close calls, but Schmeichel is the clear choice in my mind...

Part of me would pick VDS over Schmeichel. He was a lot more "classier" and when he came in our defence improved dramatically. He had a huge impact on the success we had during his time at United. I think I can remember about 3 times he made a mistake, whereas Schmeichel made some insanely erratic decisions during his United career (not quite Barthez levels though). But, as a shot stopper, Schmeichel was incredible and made saves nobody else could make.

So he gets my vote :simper:

Might aswell move on as it seems everyone who wants to vote has voted. There's obviously a clear winner in Peter Schmeichel!

Next up we'll go for RIGHT BACK.

There's a few potential candidates here, Lee Dixon, Gary Neville, Bacary Sagna, Tony Hibbert, Alan Hutton, Glen Johnson, Lauren, Steve Finnan. OK, maybe not that many candidates. I'll let you lot bust out the stats etc if you want too as I don't have time tonight. :shifty:
