Yes, another Football thread. And no, I don't care if it annoys you. Even Football fans like making lists too.

THE IDEA

Me, you, your dog and my Nan all love making lists, especially about football. Once a week I will pick a new position for us to go through and pick a top player from for our all time Premiership eleven. The formation will be a classic 4-4-2. Your right-back will have to be a right-back, your left winger will have to be a left winger. You can't be having no four central defenders in this list, it's not Fantasy Football - it's serious business. It's up to you if you want to go for your favourite player, or the player you think was best, but as we want to have a Top 11, the idea is to vote for the best.

One vote per position, will leave it a couple of days on each position until things quiet down before sticking up a new position.

To start with, we'll be going for the All-Time Top Premiership Goalkeeper.

So, will you be going for the Dane Master in Peter Schmeichel? The Ponytailed hero of David Seaman? The holder of the record for the most consecutive Premiership appearances with a lowly 310 in Brad Friedel? The record holder for the most Golden Gloves in Pepe Reina? The leather hatted Petr Cech with the most Clean Sheets in the Premiership? The most capped Dutch player ever in Edwin Van Der Sar?

There's plenty of choices, and that's not even listing the incredible Nigel Martyn, Manual Almunia, Paul Robinson, Massimo Taibi, Heurelho Gomes, David James, Jens Lehmann, Ed de Goey, Jussi Jaaskelainen, Shay Given or Mark Schwarzer.

Videos of favourite saves and moments are encouraged, make this gooseberry fool look pretty.

I'll be amazed if there's more than 4 teams represented in this squad

I'm sure a lot of us will be voting for Downing as Left Winger based off his mighty performances for 'Boro.

Don't think there is any way Schmeichel won't win this one.

I suppose I better vote myself. Obviously a little bit biased as he's the Goalkeeper I watched growing up, but i'm going for David Seaman. His save against Sheffield United is my favourite ever (even if it was in an F.A Cup game).

Such an incredible save.

Johnny Ryall up front.

Seaman not allowed in because of his despicable performances for City.

Just a reminder that Seaman did this;

whereas Schmeichel did this to a pitch invader;

Massimo Taibi.

Seriously though, Schmeichel.

Honorable mentions to Cech, Seaman, van der Sar and Given though.

Is this based on their performance in the Premiership or can it be players that have played in the Premiership briefly but shone elsewhere?
