Erm, except that England have been a bit gooseberry fool for a while now. Which is why we've only scored 11 goals in 11 games, it's why we laboured to a 1-0 win over Norway and it's why most of the thread expected them to lose tonight. I'm not sure any of us could have predicted Hodgson doing something as right as he did with putting Sterling in the number ten role and switching to the diamond. It was value based on what I knew at the time.
