I just love Locked Room Mysteries. If only someone would turn some John Dickson Carr books into a film, hopefully one day it will happen.

Edit: That reminds me I've got "The Case of the Constant Suicides" which I haven't starting reading yet. I might start that tomorrow :)

Ahhhh who doesn't love a good old list. I purposely snuck in a few more obscure choices into my top 5. Well ok 2 but still all it shows is that I watch too much comedy and not enough drama basically

1. The Simpsons
2. Blackadder
3. Match of the day
4. Life on Mars
5. 3rd Rock from the sun

If Raw counted for the last list goddam it Match of the Day counts for this one. I also put in 3rd Rock from the sun as its one of the most underrated sitcoms of all time. John Lithgow is a legend

1. The X-Files
2. Twin Peaks
3. Curb Your Enthusiasm
4. Six Feet Under
5. The Wire

Carnivale and Deadwood came close, but I'm pretty sure that's my top 5.

You should get back in the game Mitch Yost.

1. The Simpsons
2. The Wire
3. The Sopranos
4. Twin Peaks
5. Battlestar Galactica (RDM)

Not hard at all, really. Give Mad Men another season, and it'll probably be on there. I love Firefly with a passion, and maybe if it had had a longer run it would have been a shoe-in. I've just been reminded how wonderful Arrested Development is as I've sat my friends down to watch it, but alas, I'm not sure any show has ever quite tugged the ole' heartstrings the way these have.

Re: my previous post in this thread - :fp:

If Arrested Development isn't in there then it's a travesty. I don't want to call Lost until its run its course.

1. Farscape
2. ROME
3. Stargate SG-1
4. Love Hina
5. Spooks

...and I hope Friends, Frasier, Cheers and such get votes too.

OK, I've decided the points system will go as follows:

1st) 5 points
2nd) 4 points
3rd) 3 points
4th) 2 points
5th) 1 point

Simple enough. Placing will be allocated by:

-Total points, then
-Total number of votes, then
-Highest number of tier votes

Which means if three series receive say, 12 points each and:

Show A receives - Two 1st place votes and one fourth place vote
Show B receives - Two 2nd place votes, one fourth place vote, and one second place vote
Show C receives - Three 3rd place votes

Then the placing goes Show B, Show A, Show C as B received most votes, and A received two 1st place votes more than C.

Hopefully I've explained that properly.

Keep those votes coming!

I'm shocked and appalled Smallville isn't in that list.

So far there's only sixteen shows that have both five points and more than one vote.

Need all the votes I can get, keep voting!

Smallville is in a league of its own.

Anyone remember American Gothic? Now that was a great TV show. Sheriff Lucas Buck. One of the best villains/antiheroes of all time.

Never heard of it but I just looked it up on Wikipedia.

The story takes place in the fictional town of Trinity, South Carolina, and revolves around Caleb Temple (Lucas Black) and the town's corrupt Sheriff,Lucas Buck (Gary Cole).

Whaaaa? Just a big ol' coincidence?
