The PD advert seems to be showing off the low framerate. Strangely that never bothered me at the time.

www.datadyne.com and www.carringtoninstitute.com were legendary. Me and my mates used to post loads of stuff to rare from there, fake security reports for the carrington institute for example.

And what about the Nintendo 'schools out' campaign from Japan?

I tell you what the best advert was. I received a promo package from Sega in the early 90's when they were building up pre-launch hype for the MegaCD. The advert was brilliant. If there was a way I could upload it from VHS tape to YouTube I would...

There are devices out there you can use to record from VHS to DVD. From there you could go to YouTube.

I love the way Pole Position seamlessly cuts between the live action stuff and the ingame graphics.
