GRecommends: Top 10 NES games (Results revealed, p2)

And so GRecommends comes to a close with the place it all began (for me at least), with the Nintendo Entertainment System.

If you need a reminder, here's a list of NES games for you to refresh your memory.

Just list your top 10 below – if you can (each counts for one vote, so ranking them isn't important).

Voting is open for a month, and will close on 29 June.

I've never really played NES games (I was totes Sega!) and the few minutes that I have were through emulated versions on more recent systems. I'll have to pass on the voting this time around, Celer, but I'm still keen to see what other GRcadians vote for :-).

I know Turtles is terrible but I have tons of nostalgia for it so it gets in. I strawberry floating love Battletoads.

I reckon you should do one for game soundtracks / scores. It'd be very unpredictable, and interesting to see what people end up voting for.

Never owned a NES but my cousin and a bunch of friends did back in the day so I played a fair amount.

I'll need to do a bit of research before I'll be ready to compile a list - the NES is one of those consoles where there are a few games that I know I really enjoyed but as I never owned the games I didn't really pay much attention to what they were called!

Could it be Nintendo World Cup? On the Game Boy version players could be knocked out for the entire game.

Good shout - I think that's it! That's going to make my list for pure nostalgia, I have no clue as to whether or not it was actually a good game any more! :lol:

I never had an NES (Sega crew represent!) so all of these have been played years after release via emulation or GBA NES classics, actually a couple were played via Animal Crossing.

Part of me would have liked to include Rescue Rangers and Dark wing duck as I own and love them, but heck its just a machine that has so many games I like on it.
