Quit my old gym as it's oversubscribed, just ridiculous that you have to wait/queue for even a bench! I've been to other pure gyms before and not had this problem.
Also people not putting weights back, not cleaning up and leaving sweat on the benches, aircon malfunctioning, toilets stink lol. Even at £20 a month it should be better!

So I went for a premium gym and joined Gymbox as I get a discount through work, it's still like 4-5 times the price of PureGym but so worth it!
Amazing classes including martial arts, boxing, self-defense, a full size boxing ring, even at peak hour I did not have to queue!! super clean and they have a DJ too!

Gym I go to has been redone, so the free weight area is a lot bigger which is great, but they didn't add any additional equipment, so when it is busy it doesn't really help which is quite annoying. Definitely thought they would add another squat rack (currently only has one).

Back in the gym this week after a couple of weeks off due to stag dos, weddings and having a cold. Feels good but want to try and mix up my exercise a bit more to have more cardio and include yoga as well, just will have to see how much time I can spend on each.

Same they did my gym up too but added no new equipment. Pointless! I don't get why they let it oversubscribe...PureGym greenwich

Going to start doing classes now as I usually never do. Went to a HIIT//CON class today. Felt so good after doing it and will go again but it was so intense I felt like walking out :fp:

I've done things like body combat before and I seem to end up feeling as though my back is about to collapse in on itself, rather than feeling properly worked out.

Good going, that's about where I am now too, another 5kgs or so to lose. Been walking my dog a lot more here as well - the vet was really surprised at the dog's weight loss when he weighed him last week, he's been my little fitness buddy

Is this normal? I went into the sauna at my gym and one fat ugly guy moved his towel aside and then stroked his dick a few times... :dread:

Bought this bike in the end and it came yesterday, it's really strawberry floating good https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003FSTA0U/ ... dp_it&th=1

Was worried the resistance levels would be all that at higher levels but the top two settings are pretty tough once you get going. Gonna get one of those bike phone holder things for the handlebars.

Totally normal, that’s how people say hi in saunas.

Yeah that's just basic sauna etiquette.

Please don't tell me you didn't stroke your dick back at him :fp:.

There was a coach at my kickboxing class who I've not seen lead before, and oh boy, he was intense. Very attentive and exact when we were going over some technique work, but then he was absolutely wailing on people when he was demonstrating the sparring moves

Super intense, and I'm going to be very sore tomorrow, but it felt so good to really push myself today.

I use PureGym Borough, it was previously a Soho Gyms at about £70 but under Pure it was about £20 a month (think it's gone up to £30 since I joined).

They've not got any wipes/tissues to wipe stuff down, which I think is pretty awful. And they've not sorted the air conditioning out from when then bought it. However it's so close and too crowded if I avoid the real peak time between 6-8 that it's still worth it.

So a month after my last post I thought I'd check in again. I went on holiday for a week and didn't track my calories at all for the ten days I was off work. I felt any tracking would be so inaccurate as to be meaningless, and I didn't want the stress on holiday. I don't think I went too crazy, though I have virtually stopped drinking and when on holiday I had quite a lot of wine and beer.

This has put me behind schedule so my subgoal of escaping obesity is now on track for the end of September rather than August.

I've also shifted my ultimate goal from a BMI of 24.9 to 23. I figured it's not a good idea to be just in the boundary of a normal weight. With all that said, here's the graph.

That's not a bad blip for a holiday, and good work for getting straight back on the wagon again. You'll be hitting that goal before you know it.

Yeah, don't worry too much about it, holidays are about having fun. You're making great progress, nice one!
