I never noticed spiders in the holes but I hope they noticed me :datass:

Do you have a brand deal?

 No, but if anyone does sign up let me know because if you are a new member I can get you £10 off your first order (which gives me £10 too)

My gym opens at 6am Monday so I can train before work for the first time since December :toot:

Question, what’s the best way to ease into the training again? Last time I remember being really sore the first couple of days and it sort of null and voided that first week back

Embrace the DOMS, welcome it like an old friend.

I've had a football/cricket day lined up with friends for a while now and it's on Sunday, so after all my talk I'm very unlikely to actually be in the gym on Monday as I'll be so battered from the sports :fp:.

What sort of training are you planning on doing? Depending on what it is, I'd probably suggest replicating with just your body weight today, then again with whatever light weight you can add on Saturday. Take some fish oil/Omega 3 tablets. Should help get your body prepared to get back to it next week :datass:.

So before the lockdown I was doing combo days of Chest/Tris one day and Back/Bi's the next so i'll likely start back with that to begin with.

I'm thinking if I stick to light workouts this week, light weights and such, that should hopefully ease me back in and and stop getting really bad DOMS. I have been taking Omega 3 tabs for a few weeks in prep :datass:

With several months off weights, DOMS is gonna be brutal no matter what you do.

My plan to minimise is to do ridiculously light weights. E.g. I was benching 100kg a year ago. In July I did 80kg which was easy enough even with many months off but made me feel disabled for a week afterwards. So I'm going to do 40kg 5x10. Essentially an active rest day.

It felt like this day would never come :datass:.

As I predicted though, after playing sports for four hours yesterday I am in no state whatsoever to go to the gym today. Hopefully everyone else gets their first session out the way today then I can swoop in tomorrow while they've all got DOMS 8-).

That’s an exceptionally poor turn of phrase.
