Get yourself a pull up bar and a set of rings. I got a nice set up for £120.

I can’t see one that would fit in my doorways properly (rented flat).

I found an EZ Curl bar for £30-50 which would do but I can’t find any large enough weights in stock till the end of June.

Bizarrely Argos seems to be the only real good place for home workout stuff & they are closed

I got the men's health pull up bar from Argos just before lock down, I can't imagine it not being able to fit in almost any door. It's nice and sturdy too, compared to a cheaper one I used to have 5 years ago.

Do you ever worry about strawberry floating up the door frame? I don't know if I'm being stupid but I'm always concerned they'll collapse the top off it or rip out some of the gooseberry fool quality wood or something

This is absolutely why I've never bought one! I can't trust 85kg of idiot hanging on my door frame.

I originally worried, but actually seeing how the weight is distributed and how sturdy it is means I have no concerns now. I had a cheaper one in the past that would bend at the join in the middle that was concerning, but this one is great.

Got a treadmill coming in a couple of weeks, for myself and the missus. Been trying to get one for 2 months, equipment is like bloody gold dust though!

Rest days are best days.

I eat far too many carbs. If I want something easy with a lot of protein then my go to is scrambled eggs, because I'm lazy as gooseberry fool.

Tuna for me. (Which I wouldn't advise given mercury levels of tuna/fish in general?) Or porridge oats.

Something I found recently re porridge oats: I'd been eating 1 cup (!) of whole rolled porridge oats (Sainsbury's, not Quaker, as Sainsbury's are slightly chunkier) for ages but still found myself hungry af. Then, thanks to all the panic buying morons, I could no longer get my regular porridge oats and had to settle for cut / Quaker's "whole rolled oats". (Whole rolled oats are said to be more nutritious than cut oats.) And what I have found is that where before 1 cup still left me hungry, the stodginess of the cut oats leaves me feeling plenty filled... even at HALF A CUP! How crazy is that?! I instantly cut about 150+ cals from my daily diet, all thanks to freakish happenstance

I've gone way off the whole high protein thing. Now I'm into high vegetable intake.

Eat as many clean carbs as you want, make sure you're taking in at least 10-15 'portions' of vegetables a day and tell me you don't feel much better!

I do have some veg steam bags in my freezer (from my last veg obsession) but I always find it lacking in the satiety department. Maybe I wasn't having enough...

Scrambled eggs are my go to every day for lunch and have been for years. Generally have 4-5 a day, which means I have up to a couple of thousand a year

I've just started cutting the amount of carbs for my meals so, e.g., less rice with my curries, less spaghetti with my bolognese. Still using stuff like full fat coconut milk though, strawberry float compromising on the taste!

How many eggs do you use per scrambled eggs lunch?

I'm a long way off from scrambled eggs leaving me satiated But again, as with the veg, I could have 'em every now and again to add to the variety of my diet...

Whatever I can get my hands on. I make a lot of vegetarian hot pot dishes like bolognese, curry, chilli etc and I just chop/blend as appropriate whatever's fresh in the supermarket (within reason!) to create a ragu + chopped veg.

Really basic example:

Dice onion, celery, carrot, pepper
Blend mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach
Pick florets of broccoli, cauliflower

Fry onion, add carrot, then celery
Add whatever herbs/spices you're going for
Evaporate something vinegar-based
Add your blended mushroom/tomatoes/spinach mix and bring heat down to simmer
Throw in pepper, broccoli, cauliflower and cook to taste

You can then have it with whatever you want. Rice, pasta, roast potatoes, wedges, chips etc.

Benefit is it's really suitable for big batch cooking, so you can easily put together 8-10 portions if you've got a big enough pot.

Can't eat too many vegetables, that's what I say .

Embrace the carbs. Just avoid the simple sugary/refined variety.

I was thinking one, maybe two Yeah, 4 and brown bread (with the brown bread maybe even 3 would do it...) would be plenty. *adds to list*

That amount of fibre would leave me really bloated and uncomfortable. It's all about calories in Vs calories out.

I'm coming to end of a cut (currently at 178lbs down from 201lbs after New Year) and switched to 3 eggs + 150g egg whites and now 500g egg whites + 3 pieces of bread for French toast. In my opinion the best low carb high protein meal is thick protein shake/ice cream, you get a big filling meal for 300 calories and 30-60g protein.
