Do a mixture. More sweat doesn't mean more weight loss than something else. Diet is key. Really cut down sugar.

Cool, cheers! I’ll rotate my schedule up rather than focus on just one thing then.

Started counting calories using MFP. It's absolutely shocking how many calories are in some things you wouldn't think of as being calorific, and (happily) the vice versa can also be true.

I'm also getting an irrational hatred for companies marking "portion sizes" as being tiny so they can get away with saying "Ah but a single portion isn't too bad!".

I took home a slice of cake from a relative's birthday party, and it was a 1940g cake from M&S that allegedly is 24 servings. Of 80g each.

So I dilligently measured out my 80g sliver of cake (about a 15 degree arc of the original circular cake), a piece so thin it was almost see-through. And it was more than 450 KCals. What's the point of it? Not filling, nutritionally void, and frankly not worth it out of the calorie budget.

I was never one to eat pre-packaged treats and cakes, usually because they're too dry and unappealling, but now I know the calorie contents of them I'm even more put off.

My problem is being a middle class wanker, and visiting posh bakeries etc on weekends. The cakes or savories there are just as unhealthy (sometimes worse) but are much more delicious.

On the Calorie front, I've found ice cream to be far less calorific than pastries and similar things. I'm trying to get down to about 73kg- which would put me at at health weight. Currently at about 85kg, down from about 95kg (and possibly 98kg at one stage).

I've been doing some healthier eating lately too, as I was eating a lot of junk previously and got close to 100kg towards the end of last summer which was the heaviest I've ever been. I'm now down to 82kg, which I'm pretty happy about and I'm feeling a lot better for it. I haven't done much exercise though, so starting this month I began doing 30mins of daily exercise - hopefully I'll be a good bit fitter by this summer! :)

I’m mad back into the gym just now, typically been doing weights every second day then running round my neighbourhood every night on the weights rest day.

Apparently there’s been a bunch of muggings in my kinda ghetto neighbourhood in Sofia lately too so that spurs me on to run faster in the dark, gotta be ready.

The gym here is brilliant, new equipment and fairly quiet. Plus the weights look massive so even squatting 100kg appears unbelievable, looks about double that with regular weights.

Got a few events in early May that I want to be in crazy shape for which is spurring me on. Aiming for about 13 and a half stone with virtually no fat. Think my bf % is really low just now but only sat at about 13 stone, a pound a week of lean muscle at this stage of lifting will probably be totally unrealistic but I’m going to give it my best shot.

That's not bad for a small meal. :shifty:

Does anyone have any experience with mats or other flooring solutions for a home gym? I currently do kickboxing drills with a heavybag hanging in my garage, but the bare concrete floor is pretty uneven, making footwork painful, especially when turning on the balls of my feet, and the other day, I ended up pulling a bit of glass out of my foot that I must have missed when sweeping.

Mfp is suggesting 2500, but I've been aiming for 2000, and hitting it most days. I went a bit over yesterday because I made a fish dish for dinner that wouldn't keep as leftovers.

I've also mostly stopped drinking alcohol, and been drinking alcohol free beers instead, most of which are about 70 calories per 330mls. It saves me money on getting a taxi home because I can drive home from the bar.

Did my first ever 10KM (on a treadmill). Didn't know if I'd have the stamina for it, but it went surprisingly easy. Managed it in 58 minutes and 9 seconds, which is 5 minutes and 43 seconds per 1km. :toot:

Also managed 19 Pull Ups in a row last Friday whilst Tuesday session included 80 Pull Ups; 8 sets of 8. 1 set of 6. 2 sets of 5. :datass:

My mum is trying to start a Keito diet so I've spent all evening researching it. I've made a cheat sheet that'll help her count carbs. I'm not going to do Keito but I am going to have a go cutting my carb intake down. I normally have oats for breakfast but they are very high carb so I need to find an alternative (or at least eat less as I might be eating too much), ideally vegetarian as I don't normally eat meat in the morning.

Now either I'm going crazy or that's way too low :dread: I don't think I've messed up the measurements.
The calories I took from the food packaging or google and the carbs I used the cheat sheet I sourced from that website last night to calculate net carbs.
Might have to eat a 4th meal later if those are correct. I only intended to stay under 100g carbs. I worked out today too so god knows how many calories I burnt off.

A medium Odeon salted popcorn is 609 calories. Learning this was a source of much sadness last night.
