The local pool here has a decent system to set yourself some decent challenges. There is a challenge to swim the Atlantic but that's 3,354.49 km and erm, I don't think I'm quite dedicated enough for that.
My slow fitness journey is continuing. I'm 15KG down from my starting weight now, with 30KG more to lose to reach a healthy BMI. I'm aiming to eat 1750Kcals each day.
Hopefully by the end of August I will be overweight.
Nice going, Winckle. Losing 15kg is very good — losing 45kg will be a colossal achievement!
I'm feeling in pretty good shape at the moment. I'll never be anything like as strong as I used to be, but I take a lot of satisfaction in more general fitness than I used to, particularly running, as I have experienced the significant health benefits.
Lost 3 stone since the start of the year which was my initial goal. Still got a bit of a belly so planning to lose another 1/2 to 1 stone. Just CICO and walking my new dog.
Lost 4kg between May 24th and today. I can live with that. Especially give the fact my current workout, which I've now been doing for 2 months, is 10 minutes shorter and less knackering than the one I was doing 5 months ago
I've been on something of a slump recently. Not getting any better or worse but I need a boot up my ass in regards to diet. Unemployment is getting to me I guess and it's hard to get fired up as much as I'd like when finding work is constantly on my mind. I'm still exercising like 4/5 days a week but doing it at home is getting old, I miss the gym.
Doing some exercise over the summer since I'm done with college till September and I usually walk there and back.
Then the bike should be good for you. My only issue with the one I bought (other than the electronic display not working) was how uncomfortable the seat was. I was having to adjust my sitting position every few moments and even then it wasn't a comfy seat. That could be an issue with any of those bikes, so you may want to do a ctrl-f search for seat, comfortable, etc to see what other people thought. (Personally, I would recommend you save yourself the cash and find some cardio workouts on YouTube instead.)
Quit my old gym as it's oversubscribed, just ridiculous that you have to wait/queue for even a bench! I've been to other pure gyms before and not had this problem. Also people not putting weights back, not cleaning up and leaving sweat on the benches, aircon malfunctioning, toilets stink lol. Even at £20 a month it should be better!
So I went for a premium gym and joined Gymbox as I get a discount through work, it's still like 4-5 times the price of PureGym but so worth it! Amazing classes including martial arts, boxing, self-defense, a full size boxing ring, even at peak hour I did not have to queue!! super clean and they have a DJ too!
Gym I go to has been redone, so the free weight area is a lot bigger which is great, but they didn't add any additional equipment, so when it is busy it doesn't really help which is quite annoying. Definitely thought they would add another squat rack (currently only has one).
Back in the gym this week after a couple of weeks off due to stag dos, weddings and having a cold. Feels good but want to try and mix up my exercise a bit more to have more cardio and include yoga as well, just will have to see how much time I can spend on each.

Same they did my gym up too but added no new equipment. Pointless! I don't get why they let it oversubscribe...PureGym greenwich

Going to start doing classes now as I usually never do. Went to a HIIT//CON class today. Felt so good after doing it and will go again but it was so intense I felt like walking out

I've done things like body combat before and I seem to end up feeling as though my back is about to collapse in on itself, rather than feeling properly worked out.

Good going, that's about where I am now too, another 5kgs or so to lose. Been walking my dog a lot more here as well - the vet was really surprised at the dog's weight loss when he weighed him last week, he's been my little fitness buddy

well done for doing it though! The most you do it the better it'll feel i reckon.
