Hello all!

I'm posting this to see who is interested in playing through Cross Code as suggested by Jiggles? Jiggles, myself and Abacus are taking part, Jiggles is 2 hours in Abacus has just started. Who else wants to play?

I will be streaming my playthrough on http://www.twitch.tv/GRcade as soon as I finish up Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare.

A retro-inspired 2D Action RPG set in the distant future

Meet Lea as she logs into an MMO of the distant future.
Follow her steps as she discovers a vast world, meets other players and overcomes all the challenges of the game.

Also: Lea can't speak. Nope, no heroic mime. She is actually mute.

Is it like a book club where we do a few bits at a time together, or do we all just launch off and leave impressions?

In the past that's how it's been, honestly as I have no clue what this game is like I can't judge where to stop. Maybe someone can help with that?

That image will haunt my dreams and my dogs dreams. :lol:

The game has 10 chapters of varying length. But you don’t know when a chapter transitions until the achievement pops. The first chapter is really just intro, so if you want a “first block”, maybe 1 & 2? That will at least get you further in than I currently am.

I will play, probably going to be at a fairly slow pace compared to everyone else though.

Thanks for the chapter info. It'll be a good gauge for the first "block"

Actually it turns out I’m on chapter 3 and it’s only then it feels like the game opens up so maybe 1-3 is a good first milestone

As is traditional for me, I just had a glance at the achievements while it’s downloading. “Chappter 1.” Hrrngh.

Like jiggles, I’m on chapter 3 already (and I’m generally a time-taking explorer). The first two chapters are very much tutorial/introduction, so I’ll see how long chapter 3 takes, and pause once I get that far.

Up to now, I’m impressed. I think this is going to be great.

Well, I’m about 3 hours in now and level 8. I’ve done all the quests available to this point beyond 2 of Henry’s sub quests and then the higher level ones that are probably for later on.

Made it to the obelisk in Autumn’s rise before realising I hadn’t seen a sick tree yet so I went back and forth a few times to mop that up. Even nabbed the chest in Drippy Den.

Emilie has just mentioned she’s going to have to log out soon and it’s just occurred to me that might be an interesting dynamic where your party members just disappear for long periods of time because they’re offline.
