It's alright so far, but I'm not fully sold on it yet. Some of the internal logic is weird. Like, I get a heart attack trying to get the tie and kicking my foot off the furnace. Yet I was able to knock out Measurehead with a spinning roundhouse kick!?

Was also hoping it would have been more investigation focused too, rather than a tonne of dialogue around the world building. Though, starting to get a little more into it, so maybe it'll grow on me more.

Some of this is dictated by your stats. High INT characters will have Encyclopedia chime in a lot more frequently with exposition about the world and facts and figures. These aren't totally separate from the investigation aspect either, encyclopedia as a skill can help you link information you come across to facts and identify if someone might be giving you false information, for example.

I had no idea there was a quick save.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I’m not sure how it is in other platforms, but the quick save is agonisingly slow on the Switch, or I think it is anyway!

I have an SSD so pretty sharpish for me! Still doesn't mean that I don't go a few hours without forgetting then getting burned every now and again haha.

New start on the PC version and I've already got game over

I got out of the hotel and got Kim's police car, Got the tools out the tool box and then started playing with the clutch etc, ended losing morale and having three dialogue options, turns out telling to strawberry float himself and wanting to quit the police actually results in you resigning and you getting a newspaper story with you retiring from the police

So yeah I'm not starting again for the third time :fp: this time doing a preset Physical dude.

Still intending to play this again very soon but I might be a little late to join in with the Playde. I'll be roleplaying with a "what would my Dad do" attitude so that'll be... interesting. I'm sure he's going to be a complete racist, horrible bastard.

Enjoying this a lot more now I've got into the meat of the investigation. Just about to finish day 2
and have got the full story out of Titus. Day 3 will involve opening the lock and going after Ruby, so would assume I'm heading towards the end game now.

Let's make a start on day 2 then..... Reckon the autopsy is up first.

Edit, or not...... Union business to attend to first!

Day 3 and bridge is open, oops my car feels a bit more open now. I’m enjoying my physical play through though my detective skills are a bit naff! Shocked that Kim complimented me

Getting a bit more time on this now, reckon I'll be playing this most of February at this rate

Sent the body off with Kim though, so now I'm weirdly on my own for nearly the full day.

So, on Day 5 and heading towards the end. Day 3 dragged a little as it took me a while to get back onto the main investigation trail, but got it done, albeit messily! Wouldn't say my detective skills have been overly great, there have been a number of people killed and was fairly surprised I made it through myself! :D Should have it wrapped up tonight.

Can't seem to advance anything of the main quest without Kim, spent a bit of time digging more into the few interactive items I've picked up.

The day I sent Kim off I had to buy a book to read and pass time.

Somehow managed to get Kim back early, read some of the ledger and found myself passing out due to some of the decisions I made when reading it, so Kim got a message about a passed out officer and came to rescue me.

Church is now hardcore to the mega thanks to my bullying. I also found a jacket that once clean is great!

This is about where I got to on my last playthrough when I lost interest. I do think the initial exploration down shore does lose some momentum but I remember it gets better again. Picking up side quests and generally disappointing Kim every step of the way

End game spoiler
My first play through I won him over and got him to transfer to my precinct, can’t see if happening now I’ve done speed in front of him and set up a drug lab in a church

Is there a maximum day limit for the game? I know I'm still on day 1, not even halfway through the day, but feel like I've seen loads but at the same time not really done much of note?

No

I looked this up and apparently it's 10 days max but I don't know how you could take that much time.

Guess it does a good job of almost pushing you down the story as you get nearer to the 10 days time limit then?
