Right, as everyone's hyped up for Ground Zeroes I thought it'd be the right time to get started before interest starts to wear off.

Aiming to start within the next couple of days so suggestions on the start date/time and the pacing of play are encouraged. I'll update the thread when we've got a concensus on starting

I don't actually own the original game. I thought I had it on PSN but it seems not.

Fished out the PS1 original earlier this evening. Ready to go.

On a side note, was pleasantly surprised just now to see I could update trophies for MGS4. Knew it was happening but completely forgot!

No one's really said how long they think this should last for, but I'd suggest just pacing yourself over the next fortnight, take things in and use other people's progress to indicate which stage you should be at.

For tonight I'd just just suggest playing up to the bit where you rescue Baker and fight Ocelot. I'd make a list of checkpoints but with first time players onboard I don't want to give away any spoilers.
