Well a GRplayde is supposed to be signposted in advance so that we each hit a checkpoint that we have to get to but cannot pass each week, so available time shouldn't make much difference if we are asked to do a temple a week.

I'd be the 'cool uncle' of any GRplayde Zelda thread.

I'm not interested in making avatars, setting checkpoints, or documenting progress. I'd just hand out sweeties and let everybody run wild.

Could always turn it into a race...

I think we'd have to get through the game(s) relatively quickly anyway, otherwise they could get lost in the Christmas rush. And Spirit Tracks.

In which case MM is the perfect candidate for this run as it has the least number of temples.

Tell you what, I've got a bit of a chest infection, so won't be able to sleep, and I'm feeling a bit nostalgic, so I can whip up a large Zelda post (maybe a playde OP), and can get a proper poll running in that.

I think the main problem with previous GRplaydes before was the numbers of people involved. It started off with a load of people signing up, and then a lot of the people didn't like the game/lost interest/forgot/were too busy etc. for it, and, by the end, there were only a handful of people left. However, there are plenty of Zelda games available, and as everyone seems to have a different preferred choice, I think it makes sense to let the people play which game they would prefer, and that way we could get more people involved and more discussion going, which should in turn motivate everyone to play more.

Another possibility would be to have one 'core' Zelda that everyone plays (decided by a poll), and people can then branch off and play other Zelda games if they want to, as well. I would also suggest that if we do have a set game, going for an older Zelda (ie. N64 or earlier) is a better choice, as it would be available to more people. For instance, OOT would be available on the Wii, GC, N64 (and PC :shifty: ), so could again get more people involved.

In summary, we should just have a big Zelda love in.

That's not a Playde though. I'm all for a Zelda love in but let's not dress it up in finery that doesn't fit it.

The thing is, the previous GRplayde Zelda (Link's Awakening) didn't really work, I don't this forum has the post co numbers to pull this off successfully for a single game. Opinions are divided on which game to play, so I think it makes sense to have a number of games going at the same time, and get significant playing, and discussing, going.

Maybe not a playde, after all, but I think that it's a better way of doing it.

I'll bump the big fat Zelda thread and stick a poll in there.

Oh and the temples in Majoras Mask are a bit rubbish

OOT is ahead on 7 with MM and LTTP close behind on 5 a piece

What about TP? For me, TP was quickly forgotten but I know I really enjoyed it at the time so an excuse to go through it again wouldn't go amiss.

I've called time on the poll,

OOT - 14
MM - 13
TP - 12

OOT wins it, the main playde will be of the greatest game ever made

How about those that want to play OoT do so and have a their own thread, and those who want MM hav etheir own thread. Same for TP.

This poll nonsense is bullshit.

The last time I checked, the poll had TP in the lead with more points than OOT. That was before you posted in this thread Herbi, it was in the lead by about 5 points, including more points than you had listed.

I call some Eighthours vote rigging going on here.

Don't worry I'm sure when Herbi gets back from his Deus Ex playthrough he will get right on fixing this mess.
