Don't think you can download, only watch. You could export it to YouTube and download it in Firefox using an add on. Or maybe there is a twitch download add on.

Seems you can create 15 minute highlights (in one big chunk) and export straight to youtube like that.

Not really what I wanted but it's quick and easy for Rocket League highlights

The Wii U connects to the card via HDMI which is connected to the PC via USB.

It's the Elgato Game Capture HD.

It's actually a fairly small box. I was quite surprised how small it is. Plus there's no power supply, so it just draws from the USB port.
Has HDMI input and an adaptor that lets you use Component and Composite inputs as well, so you can hook up pretty much anything to it.
I've only really streamed Wii U stuff so far, but I'll be hitting up a load of PS stuff in the next week or so.
