Hmm, GT5 and 6 had nice looking cars, but the tracks looked below average for that generation.

Compared to this time last year its hard to get a good read on Sony. They are still dominant in the market but Microsoft look a much more credible rival to Sony and the Xboxone has gone from being €100 more expensive than PS4 to €70 cheaper. Add in the unfortunate delay to Uncharted which leaves Sony with a weaker lineup, in terms of brand recognition at least, of announced games for this Christmas ( Tearaway vs. Halo 5, Forza 6, Fable & Tomb Raider) and it looks like Sony need to announce something big if they want to "win" E3.

A new Ratchet & Clank game seems certain to be announced and it should be ready for release this year but its hard to know if its going to be a showstopper. A new Quanitc Dream game will probably please some people but Telltale seem to better at producing QTE driven games with the added bonus that the writing isn't complete and utter drivel.

I'd expect them to announce a new God of War and and I hope they ditch Kratos and base it on Roman mythology this time around. Kratos is finished as far I'm concerned. We'll probably get some sort of Uncharted Collection as well. I also think we'll get some sort of GT7 prologue released this year.

There will be a big third party announcement of some sort and given that Bethesda are having their own press conference I'm inclined to think that Rockstars next game will debut during Sonys press conference. Probably a new Red Dead game.

I'm really stuggling with the Sony predictions this year for some reason. I'm sure we'll see all sorts of DLC tie up bullshit from both MS & Sony but its hard to know who will get what. Stars War Battlefront DLC first on PS4?

-Rainbow 6 Siege DLC first on playstation
-Project Morpheus games to underwhelm
-Tony Hawk 5 includes Adam Boyes as a playable character

Kratos finished? Get the hell out! I love him and would like to see him in a new setting. Maybe transported through time or an alien invasion.

Yes?

My god that's going to turn heads.

After GT6, meh

Yeah...GT5 is, overall, in my opinion, a better game. GT5 also looks better than GT6.

But GT7...it's going to look insane.

I dunno, Driveclub has set the bar for racing graphics, and Project Cars is looking like it'll set the bar for racing sims.

Driveclub is stunning. That's the one to beat right now.

Projects Cars, though. PD can push past that. On release it will be the best looking sim on console but I bet GT7 will be one of the best looking games...period!

Project Cars at 4k 60fps looks worlds better than Drive club. If you meant purely on PS4 then its arguable.

The recent additions are way better than the ported GT5 tracks. They have way more integrity. New GT7 tracks will look amazing and, as usual, the Nordschleife will just be incredible. I bet the lighting will be much better than DriveClub's.

Not to bothered about it. Resolution gives clarity but I can't think of a reason why a 720p game with a shed-load of visual enhancements can't look better than a 1080p/4k/12k game. The higher you go, the less spectacular it'll look. I have complete faith GT7 on PS4 can look as good or better than Project Cars on PC.

Because you have to upscale it/apply a shitload of blur to hide the aliasing caused by such a low resolution?

However good gt7 may or may not look, i expect it will still be as po-faced and sterile as before, which is a shame.

So last generation there are no games with immaculate IQ because they are 720p? Is that what you are saying? I can tell you GT5 looks as sharp as ever on my 1080p TV. God of War III looks pretty damn fine too.

I know Project Cars has a better structure...but I'm talking about a GT7 reveal at E3. That's stuff won't even be know if it's even there this year.

Saw this on NeoGAF...and I went a bit mental.

And then this summed it up perfectly.

I'm confused. Gran Turismo was definitely already out very early on in 1998: I remember playing it at Uni that year. I assume they were just showing it off :?
