The old logo is fine, but does look a bit dated now.
I've gone for a brave, fresh look, to bring us into the modern times.

Would work for the Guardian actually. You have to look so quizzically at the text it really brings out the spirit of the demographic.
The g should slowly zoom in on mouseover to reveal the article text inside the "g", then after an crowdsourced metric for average reading comprehension time of over educated lefties it should zoom into the next letter to reveal an algorithmically linked article, Wikipedia style, followed by the next etc.
The average user would survive maybe 3 or 4 hours of this, maybe more, the last user to survive gets a subscription-funded all-expenses-paid bacon sandwich & smoothie meal with the editor, who turns out to be an AI who can only repeatedly ask you existentialist questions.

I have an idea but I'm not creative at all maybe someone could try make it?
Its Garth giving birth to Grcade with Steve holding his hand and Dr Erkal saying something but spelt wrong and the baby is actually Karl!
