I am getting very close to 100 hours in this game now, managed to get a win streak of 13 which I was pleased with.

EDIT

finally just broke under the 20 minute clear time mark. 19 minutes 5 seconds. happy with that, been trying to get a winning run under 20 minutes for a while.

Grats on breaking under 20 minutes! Somewhere between 30 and 20 was the best I could manage, though if I'm honest I was always happy with a 30 minute run!

Just seen this pop up on my timeline:

I am pure gooseberry fool at this but I'm still enjoying it. Can't get past the first boss.

Favourite weapon is the shield atm and I always go for the electric chain combo if it comes up.

Shield for me too, although it took me a few runs to realise you can actually block with it :fp:

Beat meg once so far.

I bought this about a week ago, beat the penultimate boss yesterday but then immediately died (damn poison) . Really like how dying doesn't feel like a major setback since the game encourages you to experiment with different weapons and playstyles rather than focusing just on progress.

Shields were my favourite too, but I've made it furthest with the fists and a load of boons focused on my special. Focusing your boons on one type of attack then spamming it seems pretty powerful.

Games and Stuff.

If you can read this, you're too close.

Getting past them was definitely my biggest hurdle in the game, but it's absolutely a matter of learning how to fight them!

The number one tip for me was take out Asterius first before Theseus gets to half health.

Theseus is a prick, I think his fights are actually harder than the final boss. They only easy fight I had against him was with a combo of boons that made the shield throw auto seek, bounce around for multiple hits, and also increased its attack speed. Otherwise, you actually have to be reading the room, hiding when his lock on spear throw icon appears so there's something between you, and going on the evasive when he calls for help.

I like the boon from zeus that casts lightning when you dash.

The rail gun is so OP

Got a boon to fire 3 bombs at once, kept powering up the damage on it. Bone Hydra was toast

Bone Hydra gets wrecked by any ranged build, and yeah that 3 bomb daedalus upgrade is very good.

Every weapon can be OP with the right build though. That's one of the key things that makes the game so satisfying, they really understood the appeal of crazy synergies when making it!
