10 runs attempted so far, can make it to the Second boss before dying :lol:

unlocked all but 1 weapon and currently using the lucky tooth keepsake and have a few upgrades unlocked but need to get 10 keys to unlock the next set.

Really really liking this, the hook is well and truly in right now.

I've gone back to this after watching some of Cora stream it and getting the bug again.

Had a look at my stats, about 25 out of a total of 70 runs were successful.

I got an amazing synergy of boons and weapons. Had the Poseidon Sword which dislodges the Cast shards on special. Had the Artmis boon which damages enemies when the cast shard is dislodged (plus her bonus damage and cri chance cast) Had the Athena (is it her?) boon which automatically returns the cast shards to you. Had the Hermes boom which let's you rapidly shoot your cast.

Made absolute mincemeat of the final boss. My quickest run yet!

I've done 50 runs and still haven't beaten the final boss.

I genuinely blame my switch lite. When things get hectic it's so god damn hard to make sense of what is going on because of the small screen.

I have the same problem in smash.

I wonder if it would be worth getting it again on PS4?

Makes sense. Aye.

Maybe when it's on sale then

I've just had an hour streaming it on my phone and didn't find it too bad. Definitely easier on a big screen though.

I can't seem to beat Charon. Every time I get the chance to battle him he wrecks the crap out of me. At least when you get to Hades you're fully powered up.

Yeah I still like the shield the most, I have just unlocked the fists so will give those a try. I think my least favourite weapon is the crossbow, it’s fine in the wider open areas with only a few enemies but once things get hectic and you are in tighter spots like the barge in the second area it’s hard to get enough space to fire off.

The spear is the worst, and the hidden aspect on it is absolute garbage. I don't like the shield either, too slow for me.

Fists I found most difficult to begin with but they became possibly my favourite.

Tip for the bow, use the special more than the regular attack as you don't need to charge it and treat it both as crowd control and a super close range weapon - when an enemy is right in front of you all the hits from the special can hit and that can stack a lot of damage (and you can even spec into this)

Spear + spread attack or auto attack were some of my first full clears. With reflect attack on 'em they were too OP.

I found the spear special to be the best setup early on, keeps you safe at range and easy backstab damage

In Tartarus, I've been running into the Doomstone enemy and having some trouble getting through fights against it unscathed. Is there some trick about how to approach the fight I'm missing?

Secondly, I'm looking to farm gemstones, is there any recommended way of doing this or is it just a grind?

If you can get a God Aid early, that helps. Otherwise I tend to try and avoid that chamber. It's a battle that becomes significantly less of a chore later on.

Just a grind my dude, but again, in time, it will get easier with an unlock or two

iirc having the boon to do increased shield damage is very useful for that miniboss, otherwise I'd say just be aggressive and if you can use attacks that don't make you move around much so you can just stand next to it between lasers and deal a bunch of damage. Managing the adds can be useful but don't get hung up on them spawning, just deal with the actual doomstone as quickly as you can.

11th run and I got past the second area boss and got part way through the third area before dying. Unlocked all the weapons now, should I be able to use the Titan Blood I have collected so far now?

If I recall you can't use the titan blood until a bit later on. Not too much later though!

Still playing this. It's strawberry floating awesome. I've beat the game with every weapon bar the gun.
