Halo Infinite (XB/PC/Cloud/Game Pass) - Big Update out now.

The Game Pass app on PC even says "preload now" :lol:

I've deliberately kept away from any news about this, aside from knowing the campaign is supposed to launch today. I waited up until midnight and was fortunate enough that it coincides with my kids night at his Nans.

Utterly furious I can't play it whilst the house is quiet :lol:

As with all Microsoft Game Studio games, it will be fully playable on Game Pass on day 1.

They usually have preloads up at least a week before launch.

I can only think this is dropping with a big patch that is in the download. I think it’s to stop more backlash if you had it preloaded and the day 1 patch was basically a full download again (which can happen)

Yeah no preload in this day and age is just downright odd. Even if it's a 30GB "update" to the already installed Multiplayer to get the campaign, everyone downloading at exactly the same time is just going to be horrendous. Not to mention a 6pm launch for the UK sucks too.

Looks like it's Thursday gaming for me then no way I'm getting that downloaded this evening, unless a miracle happens.

It’s weird. They know the pull of halo and the interest in it. The reviews helped that.

But to not have the ability to get playing, on release, of arguably their biggest title/release is just odd.

You just have to look at Forza last month. Was open for preload and was up and running at the time specified.

It's kinda worked out for me. I had originally taken Thursday and Friday off but my car was acting odd on Monday so had to get it fixed and used that day instead of Thursday but tomorrow after work I'll have Halo and the Game awards cos I aint in Friday.

Surely they could have let us download the bulk of it earlier, then at 6pm release a tiny patch that activates it all.

Can we edit the title. ‘Campaign out at 6pm’.

Campaign can be downloaded at 6pm and you scrubs are then hostage to internet connections and servers for when you actually get to play?
