All the stuff in the passes is cosmetic, isn't it?
If so then I'm not bothered about it as my guy looks fine even in bog standard kit.

It is but would nice to be rewarded for leveling up. Feels pointless just now.

No going back to this until they add a slayer option to keep all the degenerates out of objective games. They are actively ignoring, flags, the ball and Seeds because they care too much about their K/D and are too braindead to think about anything other than shooty shooty bang bang. Give them Slayer and Swat and keep them TF out of objective.

If you play the Tenrai mode, I think that's just team deathmatch.

I have been in games where they do that and it's pretty obvious that the team are ignoring the game mode.
They'll completely ignore an enemy flag carrier and have no intention of going near the enemy base.
It's frustrating when I'm actually playing well and the team just doesn't seem to give a gooseberry fool.

Yeah it's annoying as strawberry float.

Agree on both the levelling up and rewards for doing so being very slow/poor (I have not paid for the battle pass).

I haven't played masses of this, but a fair bit and I'm still on level 2 and I think all I've unlocked is one tag background :lol:

Hey guys! Given what you’ve experience so far in beta would you say it’s worth getting a Xbox series x/s for this game? Maybe too early to say? Just wondering cos Christmas is coming fast.. :toot:

Nah I reckon a load of 8's. For Anyone who doesn't know anything about Halo I'm sure the story beats will mean little to nothing but us Halo nerds will be into it, as seems to be the case from the Halo Lore guys loving the bejesus out of this.

I suppose it all depends on your budget whether you can justify picking up a Series X/S just for Halo (plus you have the option to play it on PC if that’s a route you can go).

I’m playing on Series S and absolutely loving it. I’m a big Halo fan so will probably love the campaign too going by what I’ve seen and read so far.

I would justify the purchase on the value of Gamepass combined with the console. The amount of content you’d have available to you is just crazy (including Halo’s campaign). You also have the option to pick up a Series S if your budget is a bit tighter (and don’t mind 1080p, slightly lower graphical fidelity and storage) or the Series X for the full fat, 4k experience. I have not been disappointed with my Series S, in fact, I’ve absolutely loved it. I’m playing on a 1080p TV and everything looks great. The big thing for me is the SSD combined with quick resume which is just heavenly. I couldn’t go back to the old Xbox One HDD at this point. I do plan to upgrade to the Series X one day (maybe in a few years time) so the Series S is a good starting point if you’re not sure.

Basically, if you’ve got the money go for a Series X (£450). Don’t mind 1080p gaming, then a Series S (£250). Also MS do an ‘Xbox All Access’ offer which allows you to pay off your console over 24 months (0% APR) and includes GamePass Ultimate (GamePass but with cloud streaming also included).

Also probably best to wait for reviews on Monday for the campaign but the multiplayer is just heavenly. Will be even better when you can choose a dedicated Slayer playlist :nod:

It may not sound like much but just the sheer speed of loading into games is a huge bonus for next gen consoles.
I don't normally bother with quick resume but even fully loading games is now so fast it's not a problem.
Far Cry 6 for example goes from initial load to being in game in less than 30 seconds so you really could just pop on for a quick game during a lunch break if you wanted and not feel like loading times would eat into the time.

Just had a notification about pre-installing. Is the whole Campaign download now ready, or is it still just a placeholder?

EDIT: No option to download anything new. Just the 25.9GB “base game”.

I quite liked Halo games for the very structured level designs.

Worried my normal problem with open world games happens and it becomes too big and I just find it too much to concentrate on.
