Halo Infinite (XB/PC/Cloud/Game Pass) - Big Update out now.

He says there isn't a crunch culture, there isn't constant crunch, and he wasn't forced to crunch.

He says he has been working from home for over a year now and gets busy with other things during the day, so often he only really gets focusing on his work at around 9pm after his kids are in bed.

He personally is the kind of artist who loses track of time when he gets into a creative flow, but he doesn't speak for everyone.

He mentions at 343 they can get personal days off to decompress and spend time with their families.

He said personally working late to meet a deadline was a very rare thing over 8 years of work, and he was genuinely happy at 343.

He says basing articles on a partially translated forum post was irresponsible and pretty lazy, and people didn't reach out to him for context nor did they reply to his offers to provide context.

Wait, so using a badly translated forum post isn't considered the height of journalism these days?! :shock:

Jeff Grubb reckons Infinites showing at E3 will be all about the multiplayer, the Campaign team are flat out so couldn’t be take time away from them for a demo.

I'd rather they just spend the time making Halo single player up to scratch.
I've never played multiplayer Halo so this may be my first dive into it.

Hopefully we’ll get a trailer of sorts about the single player/campaign, not fussed if the footage is only from multiplayer if they want more time polishing the single player side of things.

I will be playing the campaign over and over (if it's any good) but in the long run it's always MP that I play more. With the strong rumours of Battlefield 6 hitting Gamepass at it's launch too, my 2 favorite online MP games will be more or less free.

Infinite will be getting large campaigns as DLC over the next 10 years as well btw.

I honestly have no idea, I mean Hive Busters (for Gears 5) was free on Ultimate but generally it's not free.

Since 343 took over, Halo seems to think it's a grand space opera ala Asimov's Foundation series as opposed to what it actually is: a game about an empty green suit shooting aliens. Something about the tone of all the post Bungie games is just...incredibly obnoxious, like 343 see the originals as sacred texts that can't be expanded upon in any meaningful way, except to get more self-serious.
