WILL WE GET A CHANCE TO PLAY THAT CAMPAIGN DEMO? Yes. When the game comes out you’ll be able to play this space and take out the Banished Anti-Aircraft turrets
Probably the only eeesh moment there (although the whole thing has an understandably defensive tone). Why present a demo Start Screen if there's not going to be a demo?

I assume to show off the start screen & show its a proper demo.
It's amazing how big Digital Foundry have gotten that devs now directly reference them when talking about technical issues with their games. They are better than anyone else though when it comes to this sort of stuff.
I can't see how Halo MP will be big if it hasn't got a BR as part of it. I mean, yes we are awash with them but the way I look at BR, it's just as valid a mp game type as CTF or KoTH.

Yeah, they've done great in establishing their authority. A lot of it is a next level of granular understanding but I think I've broadened my knowledge, or at least I now know about more things I don't know about! But John, Alex and Richard have such enthusiasm for the way games work and it comes across in the videos they make.
2 - How on Earth did Smyths Toys break the news with all that world exclusive info? Did Microsoft inform retail partners first and they jumped the gun, and wouldn’t it have caused a massive positive buzz if all this info was revealed in the Xbox presentation?
I saw a few questions popping up in different threads asking questions about how they will monetize the F2P multiplayer. Maybe I'm missing something, but surely they will just continue with the approach they implemented in Halo 5 i.e. REQ (read: lootbox) card packs that contain unlockable items. Or, if lootboxes are banned or slapped with an '18' rating by then, then surely they will just put the armour/visor/helmet/weapon skins in some kind of battle-pass or marketplace like Fortnite and the like?
However, if they do that, then I think they'll have to make armour options a lot more interesting. The current armour options are all just variations on a theme, and are fairly indistinguishable from one another from a distance once you are slapped with red/blue colours in multiplayer. Plus given it's first-person, a skin will have to really stand out for people to hand over money for it if they can't see it all the time.
Either that or they believe the Game Pass subscription model can carry the game as a whole without monetising multiplayer. Although given Game Pass is an MS income stream, I think 343 will want a slice of the pie.

No Micro Transactions, it will have a battle pass and the armour/Weapon options (and skins) have been vastly increased.
It's not part of Gamepass, it's F2P for Xbox and PC. CoD Warzone/Apex Legends rake in a lot of money for it's season passes and 'skins/Weapons' despite both being First Person shooters.
