It's only that one CTF game then? That suits me as I don't want to be going to bed too late. :)

Yup it's 2 maps, 4 rounds on each. It shouldn't go on for more than 90 minutes I wouldn't of thought.

As for spaces, so far it looks like Shadow is vice Captain but GRcade still needs someone to be a Captain otherwise Shadow gets is by default. 10 players total, only 8 can play on the day.

If this is mildly successful I'll try and get some more games set up. Whether that's against HUKDs again or another forum we will see!

Not very good, but its still another fella to add if you're down on numbers.

If i'm free during any other arranged matches in the future, i'd be happy to lend my Halo skill to the team. I'm a good team player, and i'm reasonably skilled with all weapons/vehicles other than the Sniper Rifle and the Revenant. I doubt i'd be able to make tomorows battle though, as i have college early the following morning.

Right! Tonight is the first game.

  • GRcade still needs someone to step up to the Captains role.
  • Shadow, are you still happy to fill the Vice Captaincy slot?
  • 10 players total. Up to 8 can play. HotUKDeals have a team of 8 players.
  • This is for fun. Skilled players are not required, but obviously appreciated! ;)
  • 21:00GMT - Players need to begin to group up and make sure everything is updated and ready to rock. Host needs to be picked between both teams and each team needs to chose a 'home' map (player made custom maps not allowed).
  • 21:30GMT - Match starts. 2 Maps, 4x 10 minute rounds on each map. Should last approx 60-90 minutes hopefully.

The server died on it's ass and GRcade is a laughing stock. HUKDs had 9 players too so we could of had an 8v8.

I tried getting a team together over LIVE but got no replies.

Not quite the showcase I hoped :(

I had a game against the AV Forums lined up for next week but I'm going to give that game to HUKDs until our server problem is fixed.

I'd be happy to help out if I'm free atthe time the games due. I'm a highest skill 43 on Halo 3 which was pretty good :) I think I could hae made Brigadier but alas it wasn't to be..

maybe we should get a few teams going in Reach for ranked team slayer and see if we can make the onyx league? :)

OK we're back! Things have changed slightly, an hour earlier and it's now a 4v4 Team Slayer.
Next game...


GRcade vs GamesRadar

Date: Tuesday 02nd November 2010
Time: 20:00 GMT (Match starts at 20:30GMT)
Type: Team Slayer 4v4


The Rules:

The team entering will need up to 5 players:
  • 1 of which will be Team Captain, who will act as a point of contact for that week.
  • A minimum of 4 players are required for your team.
  • The first 4 players are playable and then 1 substitute, in case your team are short at the last minute.
  • The Team Captain must be named before the game begins. They will be required to get the game started between both teams.
  • I will contact the team prior to the game start, where I will ask for the name of the Team Captain. I will then pass this on to the opposition and vice versa, along with details on how to get the game started.
  • The Team Captain from each team will be required to submit the score of the match (#Map Wins and #Round Kills/Deaths) once the game has finished.
  • Scoring: 3 points awarded for a Match Win. 0 points awarded for a Match Loss.
  • Scoring: If both teams win 2 Maps each (resulting in a Match Draw) then the K:D Ratio of all 4 Maps will be added up to decide a Winner. If it is still a Draw at this point, each Team will be awarded a single point each.


Game Settings:
Everything should be set to default, unless stated below:

Host: To be decided between the Captains from both teams beforehand.
Gametime: Should be between 40-65 minutes (estimated - depending on loading/how good each team is).
Type: Team Slayer 4v4

Gametype: Slayer (Team)
Maps: #1 Powerhouse (default), #2 Zealot (default), #3 Countdown (default), #4 Reflection (default).
Score to Win: 50
Teams: Enabled
Time Limit: 15 Minutes

Primary Weapon: DMR
Secondary Weapon: None
Spartan Loadouts: Hidden
Elite Loadouts: Hidden
Player Speed: Unchanged
Jump Height: Unchanged
Player Gravity: Unchanged
Motion Tracker Mode: Off
Suicide Penalty: None
Betrayal Penalty: None
Team Changing: Not Allowed
Betrayal Booting: Disabled
Sudden Death: Disabled
