Finished ODST today. No doubt about it, it’s my favourite game of the franchise. And yes, the soundtrack is amazing.

I think Reach is my favourite of the franchise (just played through it again) but I did really like ODST as well, I’ll have to replay that one soon.

I might start Halo 2 Anniversary next, never finished 2 ever.

I just started up MCC, in readiness for the upgrade. It’s the first time I’ve played it since getting my new TV, and the menu was so dark it was almost unreadable. Seems like a fairly common problem, and I imagine there will be a few in my position, coming back to the game on Series X with a new HDR TV.

In case you can’t see the menu options at all, to reset the HDR options and make it playable again:

Only 19gig on PC including the 3 gig for the MCC update.

I really do wish they MS would employ someone who knows how to update stuff conveniently. I shouldn't have to update the program then go in to the program to then update again. Its the same on FS2020.

Just popped the disc in to do an install. 116gb in total! It's fine as I'm working for the next 8 hours anyway, but don't suppose you can install/uninsitall individual games? It's only really Halo 4 I want to play imminently, although I am tempted to play back through the entire thing.

Yeah, you can, assuming it still works this way:

Surprised they haven’t updated this to use the X/S features install option.

Yeah, the option's still there. I had a look at it yesterday. If you uninstall every single game/multiplayer option the game still takes up 10gb :slol:

That's actually really cool!

Edit: Reading Reddit, there's something they've noticed that's a bit strange. The FOV slider is disabled in 120hz mode, but... if you start it up in 60hz mode, set the FOV to whatever you want, it then remains at that setting when you switch back to 120hz. Not sure if I've played an FPS with a FOV slider before so not sure how much of a big deal it is. I guess it's just personal preference or is it always better to have a wider view?

I hope console owners have an option to not enable cross play ala Gears 5.

EDIT: scratch that, it has full cross play and INPUT cross play which is great.

Don’t know what’s going on with this, but I’ve done the 40GB update and it’s not listing it as X-optimised. And it’s still on my external drive.

Yes and it still boots from external but does show as optimised so not sure either

Yeah, mine switched to show as optimised after I booted it up. I’ve not got much faith in Smart Delivery at the moment, so I’m reinstalling from scratch, just to see what it does then.

I don't think my eyes can really notice the 120 FPS. Maybe it's one of those things where you start getting used to it, then you notice 60 FPS isn't quite enough. For now I think I'd take things like ray tracing over it.
