Halo TV Series Thread - Showtime’s Halo TV Series gets 10 ep order, Master Chief has been cast (p3)

Great point. It's going to be a tough problem to crack.

This is going to be awful, not cos of the actors, just the story isn't good enough.

I disagree.
Halo at its core is a pretty solid Sci-Fi universe and they don't have to follow the story of the games they can use it as inspiration and make stories out of things that have been heavily hinted at so far as there's plenty of those.
The number of alien species is diverse and interesting and the human characters are also pretty good. The tech isn't outlandish compared to other sci-fi and as long as they concentrate on having solid stories and don't just waste the money on special effects this should be pretty good.

The main problem is as Taf said in that everyone has slightly different attitudes on what a perfect Halo series should be so trying to please everyone will be incredibly hard.

I don't expect this to be the next Game of Thrones but I also don't think it will be a one series stinker that destroys the franchise and I look forward to watching it.
