The bloody previews being attached to the end of every episode! :x :dread: Have to react way too quickly to try and close VLC.

Hannibal episode 5 was awesome. Along with Person of Interest and House of Cards, it ranks as one of the best new shows in years.

I could have sworn Eddie Izzard was dead??

Absolutely loved the music this week. Creepy as strawberry float. Steel drums or something?

Wasn't Gideon dead after Will shot him? :|

Apparently they originally wanted Lance Henriksen to reprise his role as the totem pole killer this season but he was unavailable or unwilling. I'm pretty sure Eddie Izzard was brought in to replace him as he was quite clearly dead in season 1.

This weeks crime scene was pretty hard to believe. They are less horrifying now and more hilarious.

Next weeks show looks great. I really want them to catch Hannibal, I am sick of the games.

Speaking of that, this is from the blog of the woman who designs the food for the show:

We are more than a bit concerned with the Benihana egg trick called for in the script. I’ve tried it and can only get it 1 out of 4 tries, and I’ve seen Benihana chefs flub the manoeuver when they have an entire grill as target. Mads has to crack his eggs into a 8-inch diameter skillet. The props Master calls his guy. The Production Manager calls in his guy. I call my guy. On the morning of the shoot we have 8 dozen eggs and 3 Japanese chefs with their hands made up to be hand doubles.

I guess I don’t have to tell you that when Mads arrives on set, I briefly describe the egg trick to him whereupon he just tosses an egg up in the air and breaks it perfectly on the spatula. Did it. Unbelievable. I insist it was a lucky fluke but he does it again. I accuse him of practicing when I wasn’t looking but he laughs (as if he has time to practise egg-cracking between scenes) and confesses he was a juggler in his youth.

This weeks crime scene reminded me of a recurring nightmare I used to have as a kid in which I would be sliding down a metal slope which was covered in blades that kept cutting wafer thin slices from me

luckily it didn't cause me to have said nightmare again.

You may say that, but none of you would invite him to a dinner party.

I love the fact that they have a food designer, someone to specifically put me off eating anything that looks nice ever again

That episode was perfection. I knew it had to be either Miriam or Abigail in the tank but I was personally hoping for Abigail. Guessing (Hannibal book spoilers) Hannibal's been trying to convince her she's Mischa like he did with Clarice.

I will not rest until I find a gif of Hannibal's wink to Chilton.

I'll be honest mori I'm disappointed in you, I thought you'd have found a gif of that moment already.

If someone on Neogaf doesn't post one, what can I do? Gifcam it myself? :dread: All they had was this:

That scene brought back memories of the Stephen King story Survivor Type which I'd been trying to repress.

From Fuller's AV Club interview:

AVC: So you knew from the start that she was going to come back at some point.

BF: Yes. It just seemed like it was going to be perfect, because if Hannibal takes her and does all of the stuff that he does to Clarice at the end of the book Hannibal, sort of brain-washing her, seducing her, and manipulating her, it felt like that was a great opportunity for us to do our spin on that story.

Show is getting crazy.
