I know our community has gotten quieter and, sadly, smaller over the years (which is no-one's* fault!), but nothing highlights that fact more to me than these games... there was once a time when a sign up thread would easily top ten pages.

Again, this isn't a criticism! Just a melancholy observation. I feel like I'm in the minority - I could happily discuss forum games for pages on end :lol:

I get a sense of giddy excitement when a new game is announced. I'd even say that I am more excited about the prospect of new forum games than I am about new videogames!

I was toying with the idea of making a long and nostalgic "preview" post, partially because it's fun to discuss "classic" moments, and partially (I will confess) in the slight hope that it might drum up numbers. OR may not thank me for that though! :slol:

But that was when I thought the game would be played with alt accounts, and I figured it would be OK for me to talk about previous player actions, potential rivalries, etc, given that everyone would be anonymous and I wouldn't be prejudicing anything. So I won't do that now!

But in my head, by rights this should be the biggest game we've ever had here at GR! The opportunity to change the rules of an AYA, in-game, while the game progresses?

When you look at the forum game ping list in the OP of that thread you realise how many folks have played these that are no longer with us.
