Happy New Year 2019 [OT, READ OP, YIKES]

2018 was gooseberry fool for a few reasons to me, so I'm looking forwards to the clock changing at midnight (even though in reality this has no bearing on particular things so we'll ignore that part)

How are you guys spending new year's eve? Or is it new years' eve? Oh god what have I done

I went out the past 4 or 5 years, this year I'm having a quiet one on my own with some rum and whatever mixer I can find. Might even chuck Jools Holland on later. strawberry float I'm getting old.

Haven't been out for New Years in some time and that will not be changing this evening. Just had a nice tea with the family and now were going to have a game or two of Hogwarts Battle which my daughters received for Christmas.

Once they're in bed I'm going to have a nice cuppa and play Monster Hunter World for a bit before going to bed. Work tomorrow.

Got the day off tomorrow for the second time in 10 years so what do you think I'll be doing?

In all honesty, I've never been fussed about New Year, quite often staying in unless someone asks me round to theirs for a few drinks or something, I won't even entertain the idea of going into town to bring in the New Year. I'll probably have a few to drink though

I finnished work an hour ago and now I'm sat at home getting smashed on wine and tinkering with my new Raspberry Pi. I'm happy with this arrangement.

So far I have made a YouTube video because its something I wanted to do and its nice and quiet at the moment and I have also cut all of the veg ready to do a big roast dinner for me and the kid tommorow.... I then recorded the audio I needed for another YouTube Video to find that my mic wasnt plugged in this time so its recorded using the internal mic and is basically unusuable, I add libbed it so its going to be a pain to reproduce ... other than that I feel tired so not sure if I will just go to sleep but im off tommorow so thats one good thing

2018 was a terrible year for me, reflecting on it and the fact of another year passing feels pretty shitty. I'm not holding out hope that 2019 will be any better, but it can't be much worse so, whatever.

Out with the family tonight trying to pretend I don't feel miserable.

Going to bed in a minute because there's strawberry float all on TV. I'm sure next year will be better.

I had a conversation with someone about that same thing the other day. Suchet Poirot is definitive, IMO.

Quiet night in for me a few years ago i would of been down the pub getting drunk. Now cant think of anything worse those New Years are behind me. Working tomorrow as well for the first time is years and i dont mind as i know work will be very quiet.

I hate Hogmany. It feels too forced. Anyway I'm at home with the missus and the wee one tucked up in bed, so I have a bourbon, watching shite on the telly and playing a bit of Grim Dawn on the PC, stifling yawns. I've become boring and I suspect that will be New Years eve for me until the wee one grows up.
