I’ve loved this one, has really shed light on a bit of the 20th century that I’ve not known much about previously and puts WW2 in a new context.

Agreed, we only really hear about the Europe side of the war (other than the atom bombs), so it was good to hear something in depth about the East.

Yeah I was a bit blase in my previous post. I am just sick to death of people over hear banging on about WWII and Churchill.

I'm ready for a new topic, certainly. Is this the last Supernova episode?

Did you take this any further mate? Let me know if you want any course recommendations or anything, or if there's a particular area you're interested in and want to read up on :)

I haven't yet as I just don't seem to find the time (though I have found 20 hours to play Xenoblade in the last couple of weeks so go figure). The gaps in my knowledge are wide enough to drive a truck through so I'm open to lots of areas. Given the current situation, maybe civil rights era USA might be a good start.

Just listened to it, and I was riveted throughout. Coral Sea, Midway, Guadalcanal, the descriptions and quotes from survivors of both sides of the same encounters were wonderful, as was the whole inter-service rivalry section. There will probably be at least two more episodes in this series, which I'm alright with. I have other podcasts to keep me occupied with other times and places.

War Remains is now on VR, which surprised me. Anyone here had a look?

A new Common Sense has been released.

It's a pretty scary look at the current situation in America and the election. :dread:

A new episode is out. It's on the Atlantic slave trade, so probably not fun and easy listening.

If Carlin is warning that it's too long, I am expecting a 35 hour long episode.
