HIGNFY is one of my favourite shows on TV and is still going strong after 21 years and 41 series. I really can't get enough of it, even the repeats on Dave still have me in tears. In my opinion the show has got even funnier since Angus got the axe; we wouldn't have memorable moments like Brian Blessed's guest host appearance. Saying that, the 'tub-of-lard' episode is up there to rival it.

Any favourite episodes? Favourite moments? I can't wait for the new series.

The episode where Paul Merton took off his hoodie to reveal a t-shirt with the front page of the News Of The World on, featuring that story about Angus Deayton.

I wet myself.

You could tell Merton really didn't like Deayton!

Can barely make it through an episode nowadays. Merton phones it in and doesn't seem to give a crap, and Hislop is just a banana split.

It's definitely had its moments though.

The audience laugh at absolutely everything anyone says whether it's funny or not which really annoys me for some reason.

Same here. I always remember Merton having a running gag in one episode where he thought Ian Duncan Smith was three different people and finding it hilarious.

Piers Morgan the banana split against Ian Hislop was another of my favourites... so nice to see EVERYBODY support Hislop to Morgan's surprise.

Any episode with Reginald D. Hunter in it is guaranteed to be funny.

Merton has definitely become more jaded and less enthusiastic towards the whole show, sadly. Still sharp as a tack when he wants to be though.

I can't believe, during the hacking scandal, the show isn't on. Which is a pisser.

I bet the outtakes from that show are really funny too shame none have shown up on youtube or been broadcast, the audience must of been able too sense the tension in the room once it started lol

This, he used to be great but now not so much. The Blessed / Forsyth / Johnson eps were epic.
