No, never. So just in case the PASSPORT OFFICE IS READING I am an upstanding member of the community.

I did have my fingerprints taken once at a police station as part of a school trip. Highly doubt they're still on file though.

Been cuffed (by a female copper :fp:

) and put in the back of a police car, but they just cautioned me and took me to a friends house to sober up. Alcohol related violence. :dread:

I received a caution when I was 15 and then had a lecture from the police.

The first time, a friend of a friend had stolen a moped and ended up crashing it. He got caught and told the police that there was a large gang of kids involved and named me. I denied all knowledge (as it was nothing to do with me!) but was cautioned for it. They said it would be wiped from my record at 16, so I assume it is not on my record anymore.

The second time was not long after the above incident. I was walking home with a mate and we decided to take a short cut across a railway line. A policeman saw us and gave chase but we got away easily. But some other kid had seen us and told the policeman who we were, so he came to my house to tell me off. It was actually quite funny as he said we ran down the embankment like gazelles and he would have killed himself if he had tried to follow us. :lol:

I was also visited by the police to be a witness (I think that was the same year as both incidents above!). A mate was being accused of flashing and wanted me to back him up that he was only mooning. I told the police the truth that he was just mooning and he was cautioned for indecent exposure. :lol:

My parents were not impressed by any of the police visits (even though I only did something wrong on one of those occasions!) and so my life of crime ended early. Well, my life of being caught at committing crime anyway...

It was.

Most of the really funny stories I have were from school though. I had a mate who decided to make some money cutting peoples hair at school. He was charging £1 and so he brought clippers in and set up in a classroom one lunchtime. He made £6 before a teacher caught him. :lol:

Another mate, went to a teachers house one night and stole a teachers Christmas tree from the porch for a laugh and was running around the streets with it. I was taken to one side at school to ask if I knew who did it and had to lie to say that my mate was around my house all night and couldn’t have been the one to have taken it. :lol:

We were not allowed out at lunchtime without a pass (I had one) and one day a friend came belting around a corner near the school and shouted “DON’T TELL THEM WHERE I AM!” before diving underneath a parked car. The deputy head (a hugely fat man!) then came around the corner asking if we had seen a kid running, we said no and he asked us what we were doing (the whole time I could see my friend hiding under the car :lol:

), we said we were on the way back to school and he checked our passes and went running off. I can’t remember what my friend had done to get the deputy head after him though.

Our school had a boy that was arrested for animal cruelty (he was supposedly shagging cats) but they released him once they figured out it was a joke/rumour that was made up to annoy him. Oh my word it worked so well, and he never lived it down. He can be walking down the high street and someone will shout 'CAT SHAGGER' at any moment. Bless.

We had a kid who supposedly got caught wanking in a science class. I have no idea if it was true though. :lol:

I think they got away with it too! I don't know exactly who 'they' were, just that they were in our school a year or two below us.

After a few years it just became a running joke, even his mates (including me) would wind him up about it. I think when people try to get you into trouble the best thing you can do is laugh, or you'll be living with it forever. Thankfully he wasn't scarred by it and has a happy, healthy family.

To answer the question; I've been stopped three or four times by the police, twice while severely... intoxicated (the fear :dread:

). Not got a record of any sort and never had anything more than a brief chat with the cops after being stopped.
