Stopped/searched four or five times but never arrested. Walking home at night, bailing from shut down parties, smelling of weed and my mate kicking in wing mirrors.

Yes, they have my fingerprints, eye shots the lot. Cautioned but not charged - bastards. Just because I threatened to burn down some bastards house and he had an inspector mate in the police!

To be fair, inspector mate or not, they tend to look pretty sternly upon such threats.

Last time was just before Christmas when I was on a night out and got into a fight. I got arrested and held over the weekend and got taken to court before I got bail. That's been hanging over me since and I got court coming up next month for that so things don't look good. The main charges are ABH and assaulting a police officer. I haven't really been drinking since as that is what always has got me into trouble.

When I was growing up I always wanted to join the police but with my record now I would have no chance. I tried for the Army but got turned down for that too. My brother is a prison officer and he has warned me about what I was heading for but before what happened before Christmas I didn't really take it seriously.

I like your attitude. Admitting when you've been wrong is incredibly difficult sometimes, but you seem to be going about it the right way. Good man.

Yes you are absolutely right. Except that said bastard basically brainwashed and kidnapped my partner's daughter and she didn't get to see her for well over three years. Missed out on her critical years of development. It was hell. I think I'd still burn the banana split down given the opportunity!!

I think just the once when I was 15 for vandalism, just got a caution.

I was a very fast sprinter back then so generally didn't get caught or if I did I could leg it at the first chance. Although one time I did have to crawl through a sewer, Shawshank style, to escape the po-po.

Nope, not once. Been stop-searched by a copper one night but that was because it was dark and he'd seen my cousin and me cutting through the churchyard on our way to the all-night garage. More recently, we'd been at a theme night at the local pub and adjourned to the village green to smoke a joint. Coppers came rolling by and told us to move on and one of the lads we were with started getting a bit mouthy. I got up and started wandering home but being as hammered as I was I thought it would be a good idea to shout "strawberry float the po-lice!" first. Never run so fast in my life, ended up hiding on the abandoned bowling green for a little while after that.

We're you dressed all in green? I can just picture you lying face down on the bowling green whilst a police officer drives past shining a touch across the bowling green.

Ah, yes. I remember you saying.

As for being arrested? Yes. For driving whilst... Intoxicated. Stupid thing to do. I'll never get done for that again.

Cautioned twice when I was a gobby little shite in my early teens.

I was arrested when I was 18 for breaking a court order. My abusive step dad slapped one on me when threatened to kill the banana split after he beat my mum senseless, so I couldn't go near my mum, brother or sister, but one evening he turned on my siblings, I called my dad so we went over to the house and got my family out, which of course was against my court order so I spent the night in Parkside Police station before my mum told the police of the abuse etc.

Scary night that :dread:

When it goes to court, make sure to mention that you have given up drinking. It shows that you've accepted that you did something wrong, and are taking steps to tackle the problem. That will stand in your favour when it comes to sentencing.

Yeah have spoken to my solicitor about that and he said the same - don't know how much it will help though. He says that alot of people say the same
