Question, other than buying an Apple TV 4K, is there a way I can watch 4k content purchased through the Apple store on the LG CX?
I can't figure out what you're asking
Have you already got the content and are wondering if you can watch it on the CX? The answer is 'yes'. If you're asking are there other platforms you'll be able to watch the 4K Apple TV content you purchase on the CX... that I'm not 100% sure of. I know the Apple app was available on the 4K versions of Fire Stick and Roku last time I checked...
sorry
What I mean is, if I have purchased content on ITunes (let’s say a 4K movie) is it possible to play that film on the TV? Via an app on the TV or can I stream it from my Apple device maybe?
Also SoK, what calibration settings are you using for the CX? What guide did you use?
I don't use Apple or iTunes and so I cannot say. But there is a Apple TV app on there by default, so hopefully you'll be okay.
I used this:
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/cx-oled/settings Not a calibration as such, more suggestions than anything else. I'm using their suggestions for the
isf Expert(Dark Room) for SDR content, and leaving settings untouched when HDR content is playing. During 1917 there was a moment where the screen went fully black and the sound cut out and I thought the set had turned off! Not dissing the Samsung Q90T (I may yet end up with that when I get a 4K for the living room) but I'm more than happy with the OLED picture. And the TV's speakers! WTF! They're really good! Not missing the soundbar one bit.
Netflix. I had no idea they had a 4K subscription. I'll get around to upgrading my sub, but when there's this much stuff on Prime and elsewhere (iPlayer has Blue Planet II UHD - though it isn't marked as UHD - as well as Dynasties and His Dark Materials) I'm not in any rush.
