I'm surprised no one has yet made an SONM style latest purchases thread.

I saw the bargain topic, but it's just not the same.

I'm surprised that this is the only thread so far to have made it over from SONM.

We used to have a 'Pick Up Post' topic here, I've started up a new one now :)

Excellent, though it's probably best not to expect much in the way of gaming themed purchases from me, since i only buy around 4-5 a year. ;)

Maybe the topic would be better suited to Stuff, I'll shift it over now.

Been told to keep my daughter off from school for two days by the school because she was sick in the night. She's feeling better today, probably because of that very reason.

My lad isn’t old enough for school yet, but he was sick Sunday night and was still puking yesterday. And then last night the wife was being sick.

I am really looking forward to getting that in a couple of days time.

My daughter was sick all over herself twice on Sunday (including once whilst strapped into her car seat :dread: ), but seemed fine on Monday so we shipped her off to nursery and didn't say anything :slol:

She was fine though, not been unwell since.

I guess it's a bug going round, I'm dreading getting it myself, but I know it's coming.

The dread of knowing you are getting it is almost worse than the bug.

I just kept telling myself yesterday “It’s probably fine, maybe he ate something that disagreed with him!” and then the wife got it :dread:

Bloody kids. :x

I used to work in a nursery, it's pretty normal to have a kid come up to you and go "I was sick all night and my mummy/daddy told me I shouldn't tell you" in fairness it always made me laugh.

Why are you so afraid of catching it? Free time off work.

Not all workplaces cover sickness leave, unfortunately.

Time off work is no good if you spend the entire time feeling like gooseberry fool and hugging a toilet while you chuck up for hours.

Since the little one has come along the number of sick days I take has gone way up, theyre basically tiny little disease carriers. Cute and adorable and wonderful but disease laden all the same.
