I've just re-bought all the chocolate eggs I'd eaten. Why do Easter eggs seem to taste better than normal chocolate?

I had a Mario-branded egg from a friend. It's gone now, but the cup that came with it was nice.

Egg chocloate tastes better because of the larger surface area giving more of the taste at once. It also melts that bit faster giving you more of a chocolate hit than having the same volume in a cube. It's the same reason grated cheese tastes better than sliced. Surface area.

Only one egg this year (plus a bag of Ferrero eggs) but I still have a metric fucktonne of chocolate from Christmas to eat so its probably for the best.
